A new NOCTIRIA update is now available
We are continuing to work on feedback from the community.
This update focuses primarily on combat responsiveness, character progression and several technical issues that could make certain actions feel less immediate than intended.
Fixed a mouse issue with consumables
We fixed a situation where consumables could occasionally fail to respond to mouse clicks while still working correctly with a gamepad.
We have made the handling of invisible UI elements more robust so they can no longer accidentally intercept mouse clicks during combat.
Final-hit feedback restored
We fixed an issue where an attack's VFX could be interrupted when that attack killed the final enemy.
As a result, effects such as the move's screen shake could sometimes be skipped on the killing blow.
Attack feedback now completes correctly even when the hit ends the combat.
Faster character progression
We reduced the amount of grinding required to unlock character cards.
Unlocks up to level 20 remain unchanged.
Progression beyond that point has been compressed while preserving the original unlock order, and all progression-based cards are now unlocked by:
Level 50
This allows each character to reach their full gameplay potential sooner without removing the sense of progression.
Existing save files remain compatible
You do not need to start a new game.
Existing saves continue to work normally and every card you have already unlocked will remain available.
If your character is already at a high enough level for one of the new requirements, any newly eligible unlocks will be granted automatically.
New keyboard hotkeys for cards
We added keyboard shortcuts to make combat faster.
The keys:
1 - 9
correspond to the cards in your hand from left to right.
Cards that do not require a target can be played directly using their hotkey.
For cards that require an enemy target, the shortcut selects the card and you can then choose the target normally.
All existing mana, targeting and input restrictions still apply.
Faster and more responsive Skill cards
We reduced the unnecessary delay that could be felt when playing certain cards, especially cards that do not require a target.
The pause before resolving their effect has been significantly reduced.
Animations are still present, but card effects now resolve much sooner, making combat feel faster and more responsive.
We will keep improving NOCTIRIA
Many of these changes come directly from your reports and suggestions.
We will continue working on overall responsiveness, game feel and any technical issues reported by the community.
Thank you to everyone playing and helping us improve NOCTIRIA.
