Road to Omaha 2.1 is now live!
This update expands the systems behind every program, overhauls recruiting information, makes custom universes easier to build, and delivers another major round of simulation and interface improvements.
DIVISION-RELATIVE FACILITIES
• Facilities now use the same layered model as program prestige.
• Visible 0–10 ratings compare programs within their competition level, while the simulation uses an overlapping universal scale.
• Elite lower-division facilities can surpass weaker higher-division facilities.
• Stadiums, training centers, weight rooms, analytics departments, medical operations, and recruiting infrastructure now scale appropriately across every division.
• Upgrade costs, budgets, maintenance, development, injury prevention, recruiting appeal, attendance, and home-field advantage now account for program level and actual resources.
REBUILT UNIVERSE EDITOR
• Edit programs, conferences, divisions, schedules, postseason formats, polls, facilities, prestige, relative strength, staff targets, and more.
• Custom-file imports now account for your selected universe size.
• Added clearer field-level validation and useful error messages.
• Added an updated starter template and direct JSON export.
• Removed obsolete customization fields that no longer affect the modern universe.
NEW JSON EDITING GUIDE
• Added a complete guide covering valid fields, expected values, recommended ranges, examples, and troubleshooting.
• The guide is linked from New Dynasty setup, file uploads, the Universe Editor, and the Road to Omaha website.
RECRUITING INTERFACE OVERHAUL
• Replaced cramped expanding rows with detailed player cards.
• Recruit cards now organize scouting, ratings, statistics, projection, personality, program fit, recruiting status, and available actions.
• Origin and leading programs now use team identities and logos where available.
• Rebuilt recruiting filters and boards for smaller laptops, tablets, phones, and higher interface scales.
• Advanced filters remain available in compact layouts.
SMARTER CPU BULLPEN MANAGEMENT
• Pitcher usage now considers the day, series context, leverage, score, starter performance, staff quality, fatigue, and upcoming games.
• Friday and Saturday games generally feature tighter staffs.
• Midweek and Sunday games more naturally spread work across available pitchers.
• Blowouts, short starts, extra innings, depleted bullpens, and tournament pressure can still produce realistic outliers.
• Reduced excessive pitching changes and unnecessary one-out appearances.
• The same management logic applies to watched games, user games, quick sims, tournament games, and long-term simulations.
RECALIBRATED PLAYER GRADES
• Fixed ordinary 60+ rated pitchers incorrectly appearing as 10.0-grade, five-star players.
• A 10.0 grade is once again reserved for genuinely elite combinations of current ability and potential.
• Weak and average programs no longer begin with pitching staffs full of five-star players.
• Rare small-program stars and cross-division breakouts remain possible.
• Existing 2.0 saves automatically repair affected generated opening-roster grades when loaded.
INTERFACE AND USABILITY FIXES
• Fixed settings-page scrolling on touch devices and shorter displays.
• Improved layouts for laptop resolutions and high interface scales.
• Fixed overlapping names, compressed tables, clipped controls, missing filters, modal sizing, and table scrolling.
• Improved Universe Editor organization, navigation, spacing, and mobile presentation.
