Every match is dealt at the Gilded Smile. Campaign, the Gauntlet, the Final Seat, versus, Pride, and the Gathering all use that one table. Online is Pride only. There is no House purse. Coins stay on this machine and in Steam Cloud. Blood Stakes stay on this machine, pass-the-deck. Steam never holds a pot. Update before you sit online. This build will not see lobbies from the previous one. The cards, the log, and the chips now say what the table does. A false total is the number the other chair sees. Your own count stays true. A ward, a mirror, a fated draw, a one-shot shift, a counter-hex, the Iron Anchor, and Martyr's Paradox last this round only. A frailty curse still waits for the next loss, even in a later round. The Kindest Cut and Warden's Bargain name the card that lands. A waiting shift can still change it. Stacked shifts and a stacked tax show the full amount waiting. A skipped turn or a forced stand does not happen if the other chair has already stood. Leaden Verdict, Gambler's Ruin, and All or Nothing say so. On those last two, the doubled loss still happens. Go over and you may still play a trump, or stand and give the round away. If both stay over, both stay over. A round that slips the noose has no loser.
