ALARM112: Fire Unit – Update 1.0.5
Major Performance Optimization Update
Hello, Dispatchers!
Update 1.0.5 focuses primarily on improving performance and overall game stability. A number of background systems have been reworked to reduce FPS drops, short freezes, and unnecessary CPU and memory usage.
The improvements should be most noticeable during longer play sessions, on larger maps, and when managing a large fleet with many active incidents.
⚡ Performance and Stability
- Optimized road network loading and incident preparation.
- Reduced the number of repeated background checks involving vehicles, stations, personnel, and active incidents.
- Improved the performance of large vehicle lists in the dispatch window.
- Inactive and hidden windows no longer perform unnecessary updates.
- Reduced user interface workload and the frequency of costly UI rebuilds.
🗺️ Maps, Incidents, and Routes
- Added caching for route and map data, reducing the need to repeat the same calculations.
- Cached data is now properly cleared when changing maps to prevent errors and increasing memory usage.
- Improved the handling of map markers, vehicle routes, and incident cards.
- Vehicle movement along the road network remains unchanged.
💾 Autosave System
- Reworked the autosave system.
- Save data is now processed gradually to reduce sudden stuttering.
- The previous working save remains available until the new save has been completed successfully.
💻 System Requirements
The system requirements on the Steam store page have been updated to better reflect the current state of the game.
- Minimum RAM has been increased from 4 GB to 8 GB.
- The recommended amount of RAM is now 16 GB.
- The recommended graphics card is now at least a GeForce GTX 1650 or Radeon RX 570.
- The general Intel UHD Graphics entry has been removed, as not every version of this integrated GPU provides sufficient performance.
The requirements for Windows 10/11, DirectX 11, and available storage space remain unchanged.
Thank you for all your reports regarding performance and stability.
Future updates will continue to include both technical improvements and new features for ALARM112: Fire Unit.
