🎃 A little tease of what’s coming in the October Update…

We’re aiming for around mid-October, and this is shaping up to be much bigger than a normal update.

The headline addition is something we have been working for a while and its completely new:

ROAD TO POWER

Until now, Crisis Cabinet has been about what happens after you reach the top.

Road to Power asks a different question:

How did you get there?

A brand-new way to play takes you back to the beginning of your political career. Build a reputation, find your allies, make your enemies and work your way towards national leadership.

Follow the party route or try to make it as an independent. Win support through principles, persuasion… or promises you might later regret. Navigate rivalries, fundraising, leadership battles and elections, while your personal life carries on around you.

And losing doesn’t necessarily mean it’s over. A crushing defeat could be the beginning of your greatest comeback.

Then, when you finally reach the top, that same politician steps into Crisis Cabinet — bringing their history, relationships and baggage with them.

Two halves of one political life: the fight to gain power, and the fight to hold on to it.

Prefer to start in the leader’s office? You’ll still be able to jump straight into governing.

STATECRAFT — YOUR GOVERNMENT. YOUR RESPONSIBILITY.

Getting into office is only the beginning.

We’re putting your departments and ministers much more firmly in your hands. Set priorities, delegate work, demand results and call ministers in when they fall short.

Build homes, grow industry and turn promises into something the country can actually see. But expect questions when things go wrong — because blaming the minister won’t always get you through parliamentary scrutiny.

WORLD STAGE — THINK BIGGER THAN YOUR OWN BORDERS.

A more interactive world map will put international decisions at the centre of the action.

Trade real resources. Build alliances. Apply economic pressure. Strengthen your armed forces. Authorise covert operations that may never make the headlines — unless they go wrong.

Global power won’t just mean having the biggest army. It could mean becoming the country everyone trades with, depends on… or fears.

Alongside all of that: more events, tougher choices, balancing, bug fixes and smoother gameplay.

Rise to power. Run the government. Change the world.

That’s a taste of what we’re working towards. There’s more we’re keeping under wraps. 🎃
