Blosharper v1.3 Update
Hello, Sharpers!
Here is the v1.3 update. You can now skip the route animation between rounds, and we have added a guide to each Sleight of Hand you learn for the first time, plus a new tip every time you start a game. The bonus screen that opens after each round has also been redesigned as Practice Tricks, and below that you will find the fixes made thanks to the reports you sent in after the full release, along with everything else that changed.
Faster and Easier to Learn
- Skip the route animation: the route animation that plays as you move on to the next round can now be skipped with a single click, tap or key press. The input you use to skip does not carry over into the next round.
- A guide to new Sleights of Hand: when you earn a Sleight of Hand at the Doors of Reward after defeating a boss, the reward screen now shows its name. The first time you learn each one, the next round opens with a one-time guide to its effect and how to use it, with an in-game example. You can see these guides again with Reset Tutorial in Settings.
- A tip every time you start: where the autosave notice used to appear when you start a game, you now get one helpful tip each time, in turn. Your first start shows the autosave notice along with where the save indicator sits; after that come tips on opening descriptions, Go and the settlement bonus, the Doors of Reward, stats and more. Tips that do not fit your device are skipped, and any input moves on right away.
- Hold Alt to see shortcuts: when playing with a keyboard, hold Alt to see shortcuts on your hand and the main buttons; let go and they disappear. Only shortcuts you can use right now are shown, and card months still appear alongside them as before.
- Last save time at startup: among the lines that scroll by as the game starts, the line that loads your save records now also shows when this device last saved.
The New Practice Tricks Screen
The bonus screen where you learn tricks after a round has been rearranged so it is easier to take in at a glance.
- A new name: Practice Tricks: the screen once called "Select a Trick Skill" is now "Practice Tricks".
- Cards at full size: trick cards are now shown at their original size, and the title and wallet sit neatly inside the screen.
- The caught-risk warning moves inside: the warning that using tricks can get you caught now sits right below the buttons, inside the screen.
- Clearer button names: "Reroll" is now "Redraw" so its meaning is clear at a glance, and "Skip (Play Safe)" is now simply "Skip selection".
- Less clutter: the "Round Cleared!" banner at the top is gone, so your eyes go straight to the cards.
Buying and redrawing tricks work exactly as before.
Fixes
- Cards going missing when an envelope is opened quickly: after picking the Noble Envelope at the Doors of Reward, tapping or clicking rapidly to open it could also press the Skip or Reject button before it had appeared on screen, moving on without giving you the cards. These buttons now respond only once they are visible.
Other Changes
- All seven languages re-proofread: every line of text in Korean, English, Japanese, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), German and Russian has been re-proofread against the Korean original — awkward phrasing and terms were polished, and descriptions of skills and effects now match how they actually work.
- Rulebreaker description corrected: the description used to mention a score penalty; it now states the real cost — it raises suspicion.
- Sharper at 4K: at 4K resolutions, the effect that curves the screen is now turned off, so the picture looks crisper.
- Skill Awakening card titles: the card titles in the Skill Awakening window are now set a little smaller, so long names read cleanly.
- The beta label is gone: with the full release, the version label on the title screen, in Settings and elsewhere no longer carries a beta tag.
- Overall stability: we refreshed what the game runs on, improving overall stability.
Thank you to every Sharper who sent us a report. We will keep polishing Blosharper.
