🎴 Baccarat Strada — Update 2.1
Three more requests from the discussions are in. And while we were in there, we put the whole game next to real live-dealer baccarat, line by line, and fixed everything that didn't match. If you use Strada to study the roads, this is the update for you.
🎉 STRAIGHT FROM THE COMMUNITY
🟢 Consecutive ties now show their count on the Big Road
One tie is still the green slash. Two or more in a row puts the number on top of it in green, the way a real scoreboard does. Ties that open a shoe are counted too.
Honest confession: the game was already counting them. A styling mistake on our side was hiding the number. Thanks for catching it.
🔵 Ask Banker / Ask Player use the proper symbols
Hollow circle for Big Eye Boy, solid circle for Small Road, slash for Cockroach Pig. The prediction table now reads exactly like the derived roads above it.
🃏 6-deck or 8-deck shoe
- New SHOE table rule on the setup screen. 8 decks by default, nothing changes unless you ask
- Same rules, same payouts. The 6-deck shoe runs shorter (about 50 hands) and the pair bets get slightly worse, exactly as the maths says they should
- Thunder Baccarat stays on 8 decks, because that is how that game is really dealt
- Your Session Log marks which sessions were played on 6 decks
🐉 THE ROADS, DRAWN THE WAY REAL BOARDS DRAW THEM
- The dragon tail was wrong, and now it's right. When a streak runs past six and turns along the bottom, the next column now starts right beside the streak, above the tail, instead of out past the end of it. And a later streak that runs down into a tail turns right one row early, like on any casino display. This applies to the Big Road and all three derived roads
- Pair dots are in the correct corners: red top-left for a Banker pair, blue bottom-right for a Player pair, on the Big Road and the Bead Plate
- The tutorials and the manual were teaching the old shapes. They've been corrected too
We checked the new road engine against an independent implementation over thousands of random shoes: zero differences.
🎥 PLAYS LIKE A LIVE-DEALER TABLE
- The cut card round is the last round. When the cut card comes out the hand is played to the end and the shoe closes. No more extra hand after it
- Super 6 now pays 15 to 1, the live-dealer standard
- Lucky 6 has left the felt. It was a bet on the very same event as Super 6, and no real table offers both. If you hold the "Three-Card Six" achievement nothing changes; from now on it's earned on Super 6
- Thunder multipliers follow the real rules: every card in the winning hand that matches a thunder card multiplies, up to 512× on Player or Banker and 262,144× on a Tie. Pair bets are multiplied only by the two cards that make the pair
- Close the game mid-hand and the hand is completed, not refunded. That's what a live table does when a player disconnects. When you come back you get a short notice with the result, and the hand is on every road. Chips you had only placed, not dealt, are simply returned
🖥️ A CLEANER SETUP SCREEN
- Everything fits on screen with no scrolling, from small laptops to 1440p
- The screen no longer jumps around when you click through the variants
- Card Squeeze moved to the end of the second column; the legal note is now small print under the Session Log button
🔧 FIXES
- Ending a session with chips still on the felt could lose those chips from your bankroll. Fixed. They go back to you first
- Ending up with less than the table minimum (say $3.75 at a $5 table) left you stuck with no way to bet or rebuy. You now get the rebuy screen
- Tiny rounding errors could build up in the balance after certain payouts. Every cent is now exact
- The SHOE COMPLETE panel appeared in the top-left corner. It's centred now, where it always should have been
- Skipping the shuffle at the wrong moment could make the cut card slide into an empty table. Gone
- START OVER now closes the books on the session you're abandoning, so your bankroll and Session Log always tell the truth
- Commission tracked by the dealer can only be settled between hands, with nothing riding
- A double-click on a rebuy button can no longer credit you twice
- On touch screens, dragging a chip away while the timer dealt could freeze the game. Fixed
- Several numbers in the tutorials were wrong, most notably how often Big and Small hit (about 62% and 38%). Corrected, along with a couple of scripted hands that broke the drawing rules
Five variants. Five roads. Eighteen bet zones. Twenty tutorials.
Still one purchase. Still no ads, no DLC, no subscriptions. Ever.
Thanks for playing, and thanks for your requests. See you at the table.
