Hey!
I'm reading your feedback (there are already almost 150 of you who've played — super cool!) and decided to push a batch of simple updates:
🍎 Mac demo
・For me this is big news, but I have no idea what else to add here…
📚 A proper tutorial (well, compared to the old one)
・When you click the button in the first email from your boss, a mode with more detailed explanations of where to click and what to do will activate.
・It doesn't last long, but it walks you through your first steps in the role and the core features.
🚀 Fast route building and quick "buy"
・You no longer have to go to the Market every time you forgot to top up on mulls or drops, or spend time figuring out how to build a route.
・When placing the first link, an Auto button now appears: it builds the shortest possible route. Note: it won't populate the route automatically — you need to do that yourself or use the quick buy.
・Quick buy will purchase the bare minimum assets needed for the built route and auto-fill everything! With one button you can buy anything except firms (firms are still Market-only). Remember: the button buys the bare minimum required for the route. Optimizing is on you.
🎨 Visual & QoL
・Added quick tab switching on F1–F7 (Windows) with an alternative for Mac (QWERTYU).
・Added an alternative (non-pixel) font as an option in settings. There were complaints (especially from Russian speakers) that the old font is often unreadable in Cyrillic. Try switching. In my opinion it's a bit off-vibe for the game, but it is more comfortable!
・Added CRT monitor effects — can also be disabled or intensified in settings. Beyond the aesthetic, you now get a more prominent visual warning when you're on the brink of losing.
・Tried to update the Chinese and Japanese glyph sets as much as possible. But if you spot missing ones — let me know!
・Plus various small additions — some people will notice, some won't.
⚖️ Balance
Decided to make the game a bit harder. Early versions were tough, I lowered the requirements significantly, but it feels like time to gradually (across updates, together with your feedback) push them back up:
・The threshold for stock "seizure" when faction respect drops has been raised from 20 to 40.
・The faction "respect" drop threshold now starts from the second idle turn (if you skip a faction's contract for more than 1 turn — you get disrespect).
・You can no longer sit safely on GOLDCOIN! Interpol level now scales with your stash size and can inflict serious damage (though still not as much as DARKCOIN).
🐛 Bug
・No more crash when working with News in the PDA!
