Ohoï Vikings! We're almost at the end of the Open Beta for Bifröst, and it is now time to tell you a little bit more about what to expect in your new adventure...
A new adventure
Despite the attack of Surtr on Asgard during the events of Cross of Vidar, the Bifröst - the bridge between the worlds - is now open again. The Vanirs, willing to reclaim their position as the gods of all realms, are now using the Bifröst to travel and expand their influence. The clans must leave their old quarrels behind and unite, or Northgard will be doomed. Explore the realms, grow together, and reach the Vanirs to stop those assaults before it’s too late…
Adapt and survive
To overcome the unending flow of enemies you will have to find an ideal combination of skill and synergy with your teammates. In order to survive, you'll have to share resources, skills, and knowledge. By working together and improving your cooperation, you will become a singular entity, with a unique set of skills, nothing like the clans you might face usually.
Those evolutions will be determined by your choices and by your role among the team.
Roam through the realms...
Midgard is the realm of humans. It is the furthest land from Vanaheim, and it is where you originate from. While the place might look familiar, don't be fooled, the Vanirs are taking over the place and are rapidly transforming it, by opening new portals to realms unexplored yet.
Reach the Bifröst, explore additional realms and face new challenges that we'll present to you next week...
That's it for today! If you like what you've read, the mode is currently playable in an early state in the public beta version of the game! You won't have to wait for too long, should you prefer playing it on release day.
