Hey weaponsmiths!
The demo went live a few days ago. If you've had a chance to play it — thank you, genuinely. And if you've got thoughts, good or bad, I want to hear them.
Today I'll continue with another mechanic deep dive. This time it's the Engraving Station
What is it?
It's where you inscribe a weapon with a lore — an engraving that grants stat buffs and stamps the weapon with its own unique tag. While you're there, you can also rename the weapon to whatever you want.
One catch: a weapon can only be engraved once, and it's permanent. Choose carefully. The name you can change as many times as you like.
Why engrave a weapon?
Well, there are a few reasons you want to engrave your weapons:
The buffs are real. Engravings push a weapon's arena potential up, and often its gold value with it.
The tags matter. Each lore stamps its own tag on the weapon — "Dwarven", for example — and customers ask for those by name on commissions.
And they look cool. I mean look at some pictures below.
Let's check out some lores
Dwarven Lore
Greatly increases durability, at the cost of a heavier blade.

Elvish Lore
More attack speed, and a smaller dodge penalty for your fighter.

Nomad Lore
More durability, traded against attack speed.

Engravings on Commissions
Once you unlock engraving, commissions start asking for it. Some clients don't just want a sword — they want a Dwarven one.

You can always check which lore a weapon carries at the bottom of its tooltip.

Wrapping up
Thanks for reading. What do you think of engraving? Any lore or pattern you'd like to see in the game?
