Today marks a huge milestone for me.
After years of dreaming about creating my own game, and years of learning game development, programming, level design, and everything else needed to make that dream possible, I'm finally releasing the Alpha Demo for The Dark Realms of Chrysalis.
This demo contains approximately 20 minutes of gameplay, taking you from the beginning of the adventure through the first chapter of the world. It offers a glimpse into the atmosphere, exploration, combat, and the direction I want to take this project.
This is an Alpha Demo, which means it is still an early version of the game. You may encounter bugs, balancing issues, placeholder content, rough edges, or mechanics that will continue to evolve throughout development. Every piece of feedback will help make the game better.
If you decide to play, I'd love to hear your thoughts:
Did you enjoy the experience? Would you want more?
What was your favorite part?
What frustrated you?
Did the combat feel good enough? Did you use F for roll dodge?
What would you like to see added or improved?
Whether it's positive feedback, criticism, or bug reports, I genuinely appreciate every comment. Your feedback will help shape the future of the game.
Thank you to everyone who has supported this project so far. Seeing people play something that started as a personal dream is an incredible feeling, and I'm excited to continue building this world together.
If you enjoy the demo, please consider adding The Dark Realms of Chrysalis to your wishlist and following the project to stay updated as development continues.
Thank you for playing, and welcome to Chrysalis.
Here's 10 minutes of gameplay from The Dark Realms of Chrysalis.
⚠️ Spoiler Warning: This video contains the opening section of the game. If you'd rather experience it yourself, you may want to skip it!
