The Salvaging skill has been completely overhauled in this update, adding a much richer set of systems built around it.
Digging: Salvaging now has a dedicated Digging subcategory with 5 tasks across shorelines, tidal pools, shipwrecks, and castle ruins. Each location yields contextually appropriate loot — sand, pearls, sea glass, cracked runestones, gold doubloons, and more. Higher-level digs can turn up Treasure Chests, which you can open from your inventory for randomized multi-item and gold rewards.
Glass Production: Sand collected while digging can now be smelted into glass in Blacksmithing:
White Sand → Clear Glass (Blacksmithing Lv 1)
Black Sand → Tinted Glass (Blacksmithing Lv 35)
Shiny Sand → Pearlescent Glass (Blacksmithing Lv 65)
Glass is now also a required material for mid and high-tier Estate room upgrades.
Skilling Relics: 18 new unique equippable relics can now be found while scavenging. Each relic provides a 5–15% XP or Yield bonus to a specific skill when equipped. Relics come in six tiers — Worn, Rusted, Restored, Enchanted, Cursed, and Void — with rarer tiers found in higher-level scavenging locations.
Pumice Stone Restoration: A new multi-step crafting chain for Blacksmithing:
Craft a Pumice Stone (Rough, Enchanted, or Void) from Sand + Essence
Find a Tarnished Artifact while digging in the Catacombs or Castle
Restore it at the Dungeon Forge into a powerful unique piece of equipment
Restorable items include the Ceremonial Sabre, Ceremonial Shield, Mage Sceptre, Iron Relic Crown, and the Sigil of the Forgotten.
Low-Level Dungeon Forge Expansion: Six new early-access Dungeon Forge recipes have been added to Blacksmithing and Light Crafting (levels 10–30), using salvaging materials rather than boss trophies — giving new and mid-game players something to work toward at the forge sooner.
Scavenging Drop Table Cleanup: All 11 scavenging tasks have been cleaned up to remove stale ore drops that no longer fit thematically. Tables now produce materials consistent with each location's lore.
