-0.1.4-
The most recent version of the playtest build doesn’t add much, but it already started to address some of the feedback we’ve been receiving, improving the initial explanation of the game and fixing some bugs. Due to these changes we’re gonna have to reset everybodies saves, but look at the bright side, the leaderboards will be once again empty waiting for your highscore!

[HELP]
We always knew lunr.rdio.taxi would be a difficult game to introduce and explain to players and probably will have to keep improving this tutorialization until the final version of the game.
The first couple of feedbacks already showed a frustration in understanding the game and passing the initial leves, specially the fragile obstacles and the ones that pass above your ship. To improve players’ understanding, we made some changes to the introduction level and the instructions app, as well as some visual changes to distinguish fragile objects from the rest.
When you enter [DRIFTHM MODE], where your ship becomes able to break through fragile objects, they lose their spiky white (KIKI) outline which represents a crash danger. This way it becomes obvious which obstacles you can collide or not: every obstacle with a (KIKI) outline is a crash danger and fragile objects will lose their outline during [DRIFTHM MODE] to show that they no longer crash your ship.
We want the players to keep sending feedback with questions and frustrations about the rules of the game so that it can keep explaining itself better and better!

The game had many disruptive bugs when it turned on the post-processing effects due to incompatibility problems with some graphics drivers, specially on Linux or with AMD cards. In the most funny one, it suddenly looked like a Virtual Boy¹ game.
We’re still not able to fix this incompatibility (and neither is AMD I guess), but at least we guaranteed that the game will no longer overload your retina (at least unintentionally). We’re now using Direct3D 12 on Windows instead of Vulkan and unfortunately had to turn off post-processing completely on Linux, but for now it prevented the effects from making the game more difficult.
Well, more difficult in a way we didn’t intend, the goal with lunr.rdio.taxi was always to make you feel like you were driving drunk and out of control.
¹ Nintendo please don’t sue us, we fixed this already.
