It's time for another big update! I want to update the demo to reflect lots of these new features so bug reports are greatly appreciated ✨
Features:
New upgrade path: Ritual Circles - these appear like obelisks and lets you upgrade all your weapons to new extremes.
New weapon: the reliquary - unlike other weapons this just becomes more potent with upgrades, it is an AOE attack that does damage to all nearby enemies and I have found really fun to test.
The Demon - the cathedral level's final boss fight is now up and running with phases and some added difficulty.
Revamped menu UI - my endless quest to make the user interface sensible and easy to use on keyboard as well as controller has led to a big rework of many of the current screens.
Debugging tools - pressing CTRL+F4 during a run will give you access to some very useful testing debug commands that are unlocked in the playtest build specifically.
In-game detail viewer - the q/e keys will let you tab through useful information like crew members and stats in play, in the same vein hovering over upgrade icons should show you details about them mid run.
What's next
The second level is nearly done, it just needs decorating, so work can begin on the third level. But, my big goal in the short term is more new weapons (I'm thinking about guillotines) and updating the demo. Enjoy! Make those necromancers and demons suffer 🤘
