New - Audit Leaderboards
(Full game only - viewable in the demo, but daily and weekly audits require the full game.)
boards.blackdoor.tools is now fully live. Daily and weekly audit boards track completion times - the same target for every player on the same day, ranked by how fast you finished it.
Browse to boards.blackdoor.tools in the terminal to see today's standings, check your own profile, and see what everyone else is running.
New - Badges
(Full game only - requires completing daily or weekly audits.)
Earn badges by completing audits, building streaks, finishing the campaign, and being in the right place at the right time. Each one shows on your profile page with a description of how it was earned.
Set one as your displayed title with boards badge [id] - it appears next to your handle on the leaderboard. boards badge with no arguments lists what you've earned so far. boards browse opens the boards site directly from the terminal.
New - Audit Mission Names
(Full game only.)
Full Audit, Daily, and Weekly contracts now generate names based on the target server type. After Hours, Clean Sweep, Friendly Fire - each run feels like a distinct job. The [RANDOM], [DAILY], and [WEEKLY] tags in the job board distinguish the contract types at a glance.
New - Tutorial Pane Highlights
During the tutorial, the relevant pane now pulses with a cyan border when static mentions it. Draws the eye to the mission panel, files panel, and terminal at the right moments.
New - boards command
All leaderboard commands are now under a single boards command with tab completion:
boards name Set your leaderboard handle
boards badge Set your displayed title badge
boards verify Link Steam account to Discord
boards Show status and help
New - Steam Status
Your Steam status now updates as you play - mission name when on a job, server hostname when connected, filename when editing a script.
New - Discord Bot
The Blackdoor Discord bot is live. Use /daily, /weekly, /badges, /verify, /help, /commands, /api, and /crack in the server.
New - #lounge live chat
#lounge is now a live chat channel. Type a message and it goes out to everyone playing. Your display name is your boards handle, falling back to your save name. Player names are coloured by their selected badge - click a name to view their profile. NPC ambient chatter has moved to #blackdoor.
Bug Fixes
Daily/weekly audits not submitting to leaderboard - completing a daily or weekly audit was not registering the submission correctly. Fixed.
Tutorial cd objective brickwall - bare cd now triggers a nudge from static rather than ticking the objective. Fixes the issue where the next two steps would fail silently. cd scripts/ (with trailing slash) also accepted.
Tutorial trace message - corrected to say "connect" rather than "SSH in", and clarified that hitting zero means disconnect - not immediate game over.
Workshop title field truncated at 16 characters - title and description fields now accept full-length input. Fixed.
