Survivors, the day is finally here!
We are incredibly excited to announce that Zomdied has officially launching into Steam Early Access today! It's time to step into the isometric apocalypse, scavenge for your life, craft your arsenal, and try your hardest to survive "The Turning."
Whether you're playing as a stealthy Ghost class, a heavy-hitting Generalist, or trying to survive the night in a brutal blizzard, we can't wait to see how long you last before the horde inevitably catches up to you. Remember: try not to zomdie!
A massive thank you to everyone who has wishlisted, followed, and supported the game up to this point. But hitting Early Access is just the beginning of our journey. We have a massive roadmap planned to expand the game, and we want to share what we're working on next.
🌐 THE BIG ANNOUNCEMENT: MULTIPLAYER IS CONFIRMED!
You asked for it, and we are making it happen! We are officially confirming that Multiplayer Async Group Competition Races are coming to Zomdied!
You will be able to host and join lobbies with your friends, jumping into the exact same world seed to see who can survive the longest and rack up the highest score. You'll see the "ghosts" of your friends running alongside you as you compete to deal the most damage, kill the most bosses, and outlast the rest of the pack. May the best survivor win!
🗺️ WHAT ELSE IS ON THE ROADMAP?
Alongside multiplayer, we are planning a steady stream of content updates throughout the Early Access period:
- More Content Across the Board: We are actively working on expanding the sandbox. Expect new melee and ranged weapons, new tools, fresh crafting recipes, and brand-new zombie types to ruin your day.
- Dynamic In-Game Events: We want the world to feel more alive (and deadly). We'll be introducing random mid-run events to shake up your survival strategy. Prepare to fight off massive wandering hordes, track down elusive special zombies for high-tier loot, stumble upon dangerous zombie nests, and survive being actively hunted by terrifying new mutations!
- Multiple Language Support: We want players all over the world to be able to enjoy Zomdied, so we are working on localizing the game into multiple languages in future updates.
- Steam Leaderboards (Under Consideration): We are heavily looking into integrating official Steam Leaderboards for weekly score competitions! We want to give the community a place to flex their highest scores and longest survival times. (Please note: this is under strong consideration, but we aren't making a 100% promise on this feature just yet while we figure out the backend logistics!)
🗣️ WE WANT YOUR FEEDBACK!
Zomdied is a game about adaptation, and as developers, we want to adapt alongside you. We want to hear your crazy survival stories, your tragic deaths, your weapon ideas, and your balance feedback.
