Hello!
We’ve finally published the Steam page for our upcoming game – Broken Frontier. Some introductions are in order, so let’s start with a quick FAQ.
Who are we?
We’re not a crowdfunding project or a tiny indie team, but we are indie. With over 50 people working on the game for more than two years now, it’s been quite a journey bringing together knowledgeable and highly dedicated developers with backgrounds in both shooters and MMORPGs, as well as experience with various game engines.

What’s the gist of the game?
At its core, Broken Frontier is exactly what it sounds like: an MMORPG shooter set in a realistic open world. PvP plays a major role, as in any great shooter, across a wide variety of scenarios: open-world duels and ambushes, focused raids on foot and behind the wheel, and large-scale wars along faction borders.
Unlike most MMORPGs, there’s no level restriction for PvP in Broken Frontier. Our vision is to let players jump into PvP as early as Level 1, then shape their character to grow stronger and expand their faction’s influence.

But will there be PvE?
We want Broken Frontier to be a shooter you can live in. The game’s setting is post-apocalyptic, but the broken world feels like it’s still going. There’s plenty to do and explore. For one of the game’s initial regions, we’ve chosen the former state of Oregon, with its incredible variety of biomes. You’ll be able to explore forests, prairies, mountainsides, full cities, and the Pacific coastline.
The world is filled with mutated animals, giant carnivorous plants, and human NPCs who will challenge your skills and bravery. We’re also planning features like hunting, resource gathering, some survival and extraction elements, player trading, and a robust leveling and customization system for your character, vehicles and companions.

When will the game be ready to playtest?
We’re still deep in production, working on bringing all the core systems together. At the same time, we’re getting ready to put together a proper gameplay trailer.
Thank you for your patience! We genuinely believe we’re building something special here, and we can’t wait to show you more as the game continues to evolve.
