Mr Sock here. I have been through the wash and come out with fewer holes. Three things I need from you, then the full list.
What Mr Sock needs from you
- If your game looked blurry on Epic: pick your quality preset again (or switch away and back), then tell us whether the image is sharp now. A screenshot of the game plus one of your settings menu is ideal.
- If the game crashes: send us the crash report. It used to be empty. It is not empty anymore. You’ll find it at [?]. Post it in #bugsx with a line about what you were doing.
- With any screenshot or bug report: include the build number, now shown in the corner of the settings menu.
Darned (fixed)
- Crash reports work. The game used to write a 0-byte file when it crashed, which is the software equivalent of a single sock. It now writes a proper report you can send us.
- Quality presets now set the render scale. Picking Epic used to leave the resolution wherever the first-launch benchmark had put it, so the image could stay soft with no way out. This was behind the blurry-on-Epic reports.
- Emergency stop wiring. The wires now run up inside the post as intended, instead of dangling around the outside like a loose thread.
New
- Resolution scale shows its value, so you can see what you’re running at.
- Motion blur setting: Off, Low or High. It wasn’t adjustable before.
- Build number in the settings menu, bottom corner.
Menu tidying
- Resume is now set apart from the settings tabs.
Thank you to everyone who flagged the blur. Please keep pulling threads.
