Toggle Officer Deaths & Executions
Drag-and-Drop Post Assignment and Officer List Improvements
Tour the Realm after a Victory Ending
Field-Battle Auto Deployment and AI Field Battles
Other Bug and UI Fixes
Sealed Mode
Sealed Mode AddedSealed is a new name mode alongside Real Name, Mixed, and Alias. In Sealed mode, true names are sealed and cannot be confirmed. Real Name Verification Certificates are unavailable, and routes that could confirm true names through relationship checks, recommendations, battlefield callouts, and more do not operate. Sealed mode can be selected from Hardship difficulty onward.
Ask for Real Name Option With Ask for Real Name enabled in Sealed mode, asking for an officer's true name directly after an interview is the only exception that can confirm a true name.
Related Achievements Added Unify the realm in Sealed mode with Ask for Real Name turned off to earn the Realm Without Names Steam achievement, or with it turned on to earn By Deduction Alone.
Officer Deaths and Executions
Officer Death/Execution Setting An Officer Death/Execution on/off setting has been added to the new-game settings. When turned off, officers do not die in battle or suffer AI executions, except when the player personally executes a prisoner.
Post Assignment and Officer Lists
Drag to Assign, Swap, or Dismiss Posts In the Post Assignment officer list, you can drag officers onto post slots to assign them. You can also swap officers between posts or drag an officer back to the list to dismiss them from a post.
More Information in Post Assignment The Post Assignment screen now shows and sorts officers by Satisfaction and Traits.
Improved Officer List Filters Filters have been expanded in officer-selection lists for Investigation, Interview, Persuasion, Subversion, and more. Depending on the screen, you can find officers by city, post, faction, information status, and confirmed traits.
Endings
Tour the Realm Select Tour the Realm from the final chronicle screen of a victory ending to inspect the map and officers at the moment of unification.
Credits Playback Controls The ending credits now support 1x and 2x playback, pause, and 1x and 2x rewind.
Realm Name Display Realm-name displays have been unified for new-dynasty proclamations and victory endings. Korean, English, and other applicable languages show both the reading and the Chinese character, such as 위(魏) and Wei(魏).
Combat
Battle Speed Persists The 1x, 2x, or 3x speed selected in a battle is now retained for the next battle.
Improved Auto Deployment Auto deployment for both the player and AI now accounts for unit types: infantry favor the center front line, cavalry the flanks, and archers the rear. Larger units are placed first within the same role.
Adjusted AI Ruler Field-Battle Rate AI rulers are now more likely to choose field battles to avoid the domestic damage caused by sieges.
Increased Siege Domestic Damage At the start of a siege, damage to Commerce, Agriculture, and Public Order has increased from a minimum of 7 or 15% of the initial value to a minimum of 10 or 20% of the initial value.
Other Bug and UI Fixes
Prisoner Escape Report When prisoners held by the player escape, the personnel section of the monthly report now shows the number of escapees.
Remote Recruitment Retry Fixed an issue that could prevent remote recruitment of free officers in faction cities when the Messenger option was on. When a messenger is already traveling, the reason is now shown correctly.
Post Assignment, Rewards, and Personnel Recommendation Fixes Fixed an issue where assigning an officer to one slot of a multi-slot general rank could also dismiss officers in other slots. Batch rewards now show why they cannot be executed when a reward messenger is already in progress. Officers who resigned or were dismissed too recently to be recruited again no longer appear in personnel recommendations.
Bandit Uprising Grace Period after Conquest Bandit uprisings no longer occur in a city for 3 turns, including the turn it is conquered.
Encourage Recruitment Estimate Fix Fixed an issue where the predicted recruitment amount shown when selecting Recruitment in Encourage did not match the actual amount recruited.
Return to City Selection after Boost After using Boost, you can return to the city list with right-click or the side-panel back button and continue selecting other cities.
AI Alliance Proposal Fixes Fixed AI ruler alliance proposals and display errors.
Canceled Move Status When you cancel a move order for an army, officer, ruler, or transport convoy, the list now shows Returning. Opening a returning target only shows its return city and route, without allowing another cancellation or spending AP.
Save Load Recovery When older saves contain invalid movement, defense, or battle orders, reserved troops, officers, and resources are now restored correctly. Fixed an issue where officers in transit could disappear from city lists after loading.
Officer State Sorting Fixed sorting for the State column in officer lists.
Officer Affinity Sorting Fixed sorting for the Affinity column in officer lists at Hardship difficulty as well.
Investigation and Interview Result Windows Fixed an issue where officer-information buttons and tooltips in subsequent Investigation and Interview result windows stopped working after successfully asking for a real name. Officer information windows opened above a result window now also close from the frontmost window first.
Map Numeric Labels Fixed city troop and domestic-stat labels being obscured by army and messenger markers.
Officer Data and Localization Fixes Corrected the names and biographies of some officers, along with Chinese localization.
Other UI Improvements Improved the readability of monthly-report scrollbars and the Post Assignment screen, addressed several screens that could be clipped or hard to view at large text sizes, and replaced the sound played when closing windows with a more natural one.
We will continue improving the game based on your feedback. Thank you.
