Ball Buster Breakout: v10.12.26b Patch Notes
🃏 Power-up Draft Overhaul
- Breaking a treasure brick now hits harder: a short hit-stop, then the game smoothly slows to a freeze instead of stopping instantly.
- Power-up cards are now dealt face-down and flip over one at a time, with the rarest card revealed last. Rarer cards get bigger build-ups, punchier reveals and their own sound stings. Epic and Legendary cards shake the screen.
- Picking a card flashes and pulses with its rarity colour, and the cards you didn't pick fade out.
- Your chosen power-up now flies into its storage slot so you can see where it went.
- Time eases back up to full speed after a pick instead of snapping back.
- Rarity colours are now consistent everywhere: Common (grey), Uncommon (green), Rare (blue), Epic (purple), Legendary (orange).
- New sound effects for showing, flipping, picking, discarding and storing cards.
🌀 Glitch Improvements
- New GLITCH button on the top HUD, under the ball counter, once Glitching is unlocked. Click it to jump straight to the Glitch menu.
- After you beat your first boss, the Glitch menu opens automatically with a new Glitching tutorial that explains GLITCH OUT, what resets, Glitch Gems and permanent Glitch Upgrades.
- Fixed the GLITCH OUT warning being invisible. It now shows properly next to the button, including how many gems you'll earn.
- Fixed Glitch upgrade tooltips being oversized and running off the screen. Tooltips in both upgrade trees now stay on screen.
- New background for the Glitch upgrade tree.
- The "Glitch" button and tab are now translated as an action in every language.
👹 Bosses
- Removed the leftover "Thank you for playing the demo" card that appeared after beating a boss in the full game. Play now continues straight after the reward chest.
🎓 Tutorials
- New Click Bricks tutorial on your first visit to the Arena: left or right click on bricks to destroy them.
- The ball purchase tutorial now refers to bullets instead of pistols, to match the new
🌳 Upgrade Tree
- Poison Ball and its upgrades have moved to between the Gold Ball and the Bomb Ball. Before, they were hidden far off to the right. The Poison Ball node is now poison green.
- The upgrade trees no longer scroll when your mouse touches the edge of the screen, or when the cursor leaves the window. Drag, WASD/arrow keys and scroll zoom still work.
- The Upgrades button's BACK label is now translated, and the "UPGDRADE!" typo is fixed
