Dear Bluffers,
We've heard you — the early hours of VELATO needed a better introduction to its mechanics. This major update focuses on making that first run smoother, clearer, and more fun to learn.
What's New:
1. Game Balance
Joker Adjustments — tweaked scaling factors for Jokers card to prevent infinite loops in the late game.
Economy Tuning — adjusted shop prices and base gold gains to make early-run decisions feel more impactful.
Boss Difficulty — recalibrated Boss economy scaling to ensure a fair challenge in later Ante levels.
2. Visual & Polish
Juice Factor — added screen shake and particle impact when high-scoring hands are played.
Card Animations — updated the card flip and "discard" visual transitions for a snappier feel.
UI Clarity — added visual indicators on the main HUD to show active modifiers more clearly.
3. Mechanics & Systems
Synergy Logic — reworked the "Chain Reaction" calculation to resolve faster during complex combos.
Deck Management — added a "Preview" mode in the shop to see how new cards interact with your current deck before purchasing.
Input Handling — optimized drag-and-drop detection to prevent accidental card plays.
We know the first hour makes or breaks a roguelike — this update is our biggest step yet toward making VELATO's opening hand feel as good as its late-game bluffs.
