Next Fest June 15!
AlwaysGeeky Games is officially bringing a sharp new edge to bullet hell action. Pandemonium arrives in just a couple of weeks for Next Fest (launching June 15), and the team’s current hyper-focus is on absolute fine-tuning. Today, the studio is pulling back the curtain on how Voxie Survivor is evolving beyond the typical limits of the "Bullet Heaven", showcasing objective-driven gameplay alongside advanced visual designs to handle dense voxel hordes.
Reinventing Chaos
The Action Rogue-lite space is crowded with games where survival is merely a clock-watching exercise. Voxie Survivor shatters that paradigm by injecting a structured, high-octane mission layout into frantic combat loops spanning multiple rounds. Players have access to over 45 unique weapon combos while they actively master tactical movement using custom Dodge and Crit mechanics.
"Weave through thousands of reactive voxel monsters while you defend vital capture points and rescue stranded allies like Meadow to force the ultimate Boss Spawn!"
This narrative and objective focus represents a fundamental shift in how survival games are designed, anchoring the high-intensity gameplay inside a larger, coherent Voxie world.
"We wanted to create a Survivor game with a full story narrative, and missions & objectives to give a real meaning to the Survivor genre and its gameplay chaos."
Steven Ball, Founder & CEO, AlwaysGeeky Games
Engineering Chaos
When hundreds of enemies occupy the screen simultaneously, losing track of your position or incoming threats means a fast trip back to the main menu. To conquer this problem, Voxie Survivor sends fluid organic enemy swarms at you and provides loads of unique and tactical weapon combos so players aren't asked to rely on passive luck alone.
🛡️ The Art of the Dodge
Unlike standard survival games, custom swarming mechanics ensure voxel monsters dynamically repel one another. This creates fluid, organic wave behaviours and distinct lane opportunities for skilled players. Coupled with high-contrast visuals and lighting, heroes vividly pop against the dark backdrops of maps like the Gloomy Forest, giving you the split-second clarity needed to execute perfect tactical dodges.
⚔️ Skill-Based Arsenals
Surviving a gruelling run requires mastering active tools over automated projectiles. Players will deploy specialized weapons requiring positioning and precise timing, such as the ricocheting trajectories of Bouncing Blades or the terrain-rupturing area denial of Earth Rupture. Triggering a level-up unleashes a massive kinetic pushback, instantly clearing breathing room to reset your positioning and turn defensive panic into offensive momentum.
Forge Your Legacy: Meta-Progression & Card Libraries
Survival in Voxie Survivor demands both mechanical skill and long-term tactical preparation. Players will build their defensive strategies out of a massive Card Library, experimenting with over 45 unique weapon combinations and ability pairings to match the distinct traits of their Titan characters and avatars. Every successful run or hard-fought failure allows players to extract precious Voxite Cores and Shards from the battlefield. These resources fuel deep, permanent character-specific meta-progression upgrades, allowing you to gradually enhance core stats, unlock rare library synergies, and assemble the ultimate tactical roster to survive the apocalypse.
