Hey everyone,
This is a big one — the largest update since launch. Here's everything new.
🇺🇸 US Northeast Sectors — Early Access
Radar Identified now crosses the Atlantic. The sector picker has a new region toggle (Germany / US Northeast, and the first US sectors are playable on a trial basis: North New York, Boston High, Athens South, Athens North, and Rockdale.
Pick a US sector and you get US flight schedules, US callsigns and FAA-style traffic — over 120 new US flights including NE-corridor regionals and KJFK/KLGA long-haul from Emirates, Qatar, Etihad, Korean Air and ANA. The default start time for US sectors is the natural east-coast afternoon bank, with local time (EDT/EST) shown next to the UTC picker.
Heads-up: The US sectors are early access. Sector boundaries, traffic density, coord phone and flight plans are still being authored and will keep changing between updates. A clear in-game disclaimer marks the current state. Think of this as a preview you can already enjoy while the data work continues.
🎛️ Reworked Order Menu
The order menu has been rebuilt from the ground up:
Vertical speed picker — assign a climb/descent rate from ±500 to ±4000 fpm, or leave it as free rate. The pilot reads it back as part of the clearance.
EXECUTE button — assemble the full clearance (FL, rate, conditional) before anything transmits.
Conditional clearances — "Climb FL300, then proceed direct LOHRE" in a single command. The aircraft executes the follow-up automatically when it reaches the assigned level, and the pilot reads the whole thing in one ICAO-correct transmission.
Cleaner DCT & HDG sub-menus — direct-to picker with filter, distance column and a route preview line; heading wheel with L30/L10/R10/R30/INTERCEPT quick-buttons and turn-direction readout.
List-mode alternative — prefer a vertical menu over the radial wheel? Switch in Settings, full keyboard navigation included.
The menu now stays where you open it instead of drifting with the aircraft at high time scale.
🗺️ New Sector Picker
Germany / US region toggle right on the map
Local time shown alongside the UTC start picker, so it's obvious whether you're picking a morning, midday or evening shift
Cleaner map — only startable sectors are drawn, no clutter from context sectors
Clear early-access markings for the US region
🎬 3D Debriefing Replay
When a session ends, the debrief screen now shows an animated 3D replay of your sector with every aircraft that crossed it.
3D aircraft models — small twin, big twin, quad and super-heavy - not fancy but enough for the moment ;)
Coloured altitude trails, callsign labels, sector polygon, buffer outline and neighbouring sectors drawn in for spatial context
Replay controls — pause/play, speed selector (4×/8×/16×), camera presets (Iso/Top/Side) and auto-rotate
Adapts to your theme — dark for Classic, light for Modern
📞 Coordination Phone Improvements
REQDCT split into REQDCT-UP and REQDCT-DN — request a direct routing either from the previous controller (inbound traffic) or the next sector (traffic on your frequency), with the aircraft picker filtered accordingly.
INFO reason — share an aircraft's status with the next sector; minimum-fuel aircraft sort to the top with an amber chip.
Minimum-fuel pilot request — aircraft with ≤60 minutes remaining can call in asking for a fuel-priority direct routing.
FORCE REQUEST — pull any aircraft onto your frequency regardless of handoff state, for when the normal coord flow can't reach them.
Routine handovers no longer ring the phone — it stays silent unless someone actually needs to coordinate.
Neighbour sector lists corrected per region.
⚙️ Quality of Life
New TAG REFRESH display option (Live / 3s / 5s) — datablock fields freeze between sweeps like a real ATC scope. Now defaults to 3s for a calmer read. Safety alerts stay live.
MTCA conflict alerts can now be acknowledged per aircraft pair — right-click, ACK & DEL, and the medium-term warning stops nagging you. STCA is unaffected.
Discord Rich Presence (opt-in) — your Discord profile can show your current sector. Off by default.
Bold aircraft label option for easier scanning.
Pilots now refuse impossible altitudes in their own voice instead of silently ignoring you.
Mid-day cold starts now pre-place departing traffic, so starting partway through the schedule no longer leaves departure airports empty.
Main menu cleanup.
🐛 Bug Fixes
Fixed a renderer crash on fresh builds
Aircraft no longer freeze for the first minute after restarting a session
Debrief replay no longer drops the recording on longer sessions
Spawn schedule no longer blocked by the previous session
MTCA alerts clear properly once aircraft are separating
European waypoints no longer shadowed by US map data
UPS callsigns and a mislabeled Ryanair flight fixed
No more wrongful separation penalties for conflicts in neighbouring AI sectors
Console autocomplete no longer crashes on direct-to entries
Military coordination calls now reach the phone correctly
🎮 Multiplayer
Multiplayer is currently in internal testing and shown as "Coming Soon" on the main menu. Single-player and all other features are fully unaffected — we'll re-enable it once it's stable.
Thank you to everyone in the Discord for the continuous bug reports and feedback — this update is shaped by all of it. Happy controlling!
