This devblog covers the part most career simulators pretend doesn't exist: money. In Clutch Legend, your career has a budget — and it can collapse.
Your Weekly Income
Every week you receive a salary from your team. It scales with your league tier: Amateur contracts pay almost nothing, Pro Series contracts pay enough to actually build something.
Two additional income streams are available from the start:
Streaming connects you to two platforms. Your income depends on your Fame stat: the more visible you are, the more you earn per week.
Sponsors work differently. Fixed-term contracts with brands that pay a flat weekly fee. Better sponsors require a minimum Fame threshold. The income is stable, but contracts expire.
Expenses
Coach salaries, living costs, travel. Every decision you've made in training and infrastructure shows up in your weekly balance.
As your career progresses, your lifestyle tier rises — better accommodation, higher standards, more visibility. It costs more every week. You can downgrade, but it hits your Fame and morale. The life you've built has a price, and the game doesn't let you forget it.
A full roster of Lv10 coaches costs €18.000 per week.
The numbers are real.
Debt, Loans and Welfare
If your balance goes negative, you go into debt. It accumulates weekly interest. If it crosses a critical threshold, sponsors drop, morale collapses, and the path back becomes harder.
When you're at the edge, two options become available.
A bank loan gives you immediate liquidity: fixed repayment terms, weekly interest, real consequences if you miss installments. It buys you time, but debt doesn't disappear. It waits.
The welfare system activates in the most critical situations. A minimum subsidy covers basic living expenses and prevents total collapse. It's not a reward, it's a floor, the lowest point the game lets you reach. Getting there means something went wrong. Getting out requires rebuilding from scratch.
