We are thrilled to announce that Global Protocol: New World Order is officially available on macOS!
Rule the world, manage complex global economies, navigate intense diplomacy, and launch military operations directly from your Mac. We’ve spent the last few weeks optimizing and polishing the build to ensure Mac players get the exact same deep grand strategy experience as Windows and Linux users.
Here is what you need to know about the macOS release:
Key Features of the macOS Release
\[]Native Apple Silicon & Intel Support: The game runs natively on macOS, fully optimized for both Apple Silicon (M1, M2, M3, M4 series chips) and Intel-based Macs. Enjoy smooth map panning and fast simulation ticks leveraging Unity's high-performance ECS architecture. \[]Seamless Cross-Platform Multiplayer: Jump into multiplayer lobbies and coordinate or compete with players on Windows and Linux. macOS has full parity, allowing cross-platform diplomacy and warfare from day one.
Steam Cloud Integration: Start your campaign on your Windows desktop at home, continue it on the go with your Steam Deck, and manage your nation from your MacBook at work. Your save files sync automatically.
What's New in the Latest Updates (v0.2.14)
If you're jumping in now, you'll also benefit from our most recent game updates and stability fixes:
\[]Monthly Secondary Stats Ledger: A new system that tracks auxiliary statistics over time, complete with full Save/Load support and localized HUD top bar tooltips. \[]Improved Sea Pathfinding: Enhanced route calculations for fleets and transports. Naval movement, fleet coordination, and auto-transports are smoother and more predictable. \[]Military & Air Force Parity: Fixed bugs relating to strategic missile launches and forced-retreat transit grants for retired/expelled armies. \[]Economy Balancing: Prevented treasury drain cliffs when multiple building constructions finish on the exact same tick.
UI/UX Polish: Smoothed out edge-panning boundary checks and resolved tooltip overlaps and label collisions.
