Weather
- Snowfall is calibrated against thirteen years of real season totals for each region now. The figure on the New Game screen is what the winter actually delivers.
- Each mountain gets its own snowfall instead of sharing one regional number. General Stark Mountain and Mount Mansfield sit in the same region, and one of them gets over twice the snow of the other.
- Storms run for a set length. Before, a storm was as likely to end one minute in as six hours in, so you got a 6-inch dusting or a 156-inch monster and not much between. Season totals now vary about as much as they do on real mountains.
- El Niño and La Niña work by region. A winter that's good for Tahoe is bad for the Pacific Northwest. The Rockies barely notice either way, and the Alps hardly respond at all.
- Plain, uneventful winters are back. Every year used to get a named climate pattern. Most don't now.
- Rewrote the region descriptions on the New Game screen. A couple of them described weather the game stopped producing a while ago.
- Month Summary reports snowfall in inches, like everything else.
Snow
- Snow settles on every building, every lift, and decorations too. It used to be about 20 structures.
- Flat roofs keep their snow. The game was reading their edges as near-vertical and sliding it off.
- No more snow piling on decks, floors and benches that guests stand on.
- Fixed terrain snow flickering and breaking into plates. Two Graphics options went with it: Snow Displacement and Snow Surface Detail cost real frames for detail you can't see at this camera distance. Nanite Mesh Detail stays.
- Blizzards aren't nearly black anymore. Still a gloomy whiteout, just one you can see in.
Camera
- Zooming in close doesn't punt you through the building you were looking at. A wheel notch scales with your distance now: about 20 m at 100 m out, 1 m at 5 m out.
- Orbit near a hut and you swing around the hut. It used to pivot around terrain a few hundred metres downhill.
- Cursor zoom works when you're way out. It was quietly falling back to zooming at screen centre.
- The camera gets closer to the ground, and stops sinking under deep snow.
- Zoom Speed slider, in Settings > Controls.
Guests
- Fixed the lines outside warming huts full of guests showing Rest 0%. They'd come to warm up, a nearby firepit warmed them while they waited, and nothing let them out of the queue.
- Fixed three guests dancing on the same spot in the après building.
- Guests no longer reload standing inside a seat they hadn't sat down in yet.
- Closed the gap that opened in a lift queue where the line passes a neighbouring terminal.
- Fixed guests getting assigned a chair seat the lift doesn't have, on older saves and when boarding a magic carpet.
- A groomer sent home to a shed uphill of its hub used to ride up, ski down, and repeat forever. It walks now.
- Guests occasionally yelp when they wipe out.
Interface
- Building icons, event badges and guest bubbles go behind buildings and lift terminals now instead of floating on top of them.
- Weather forecast panel: base and peak temperature are separate columns, a change shows the hour it arrives, and the columns are ruled off.
- Demand alerts name the village. "3 guests want après in Tiny Village", not whatever landmark happened to be nearest.
- Load and delete prompts call an autosave what its row in the list calls it.
- Event toast titles line up with the mascot again.
New content
- Four-person quad chairlift.
- Wine Bar, Ski Rental, Convenience Store, standing torch.
