⚽ MATCHDAY FEELING: RIKOGOL v1.4 IS OUT NOW
Goal celebrations, a half-time break, switching ends — and smarter bots in a crowd. The Matchday Update gives every match the rhythm of a real match day, online and in Training alike.
🎉 EVERY GOAL GETS ITS MOMENT
After a goal the match now pauses for a 2.5-second celebration. The clock stops, no goal can count, and everyone can keep moving: run toward the stands, celebrate with your team. The GOAL! banner stays up the whole time, then the team that conceded kicks off. Even the goal that decides the match gets its full celebration before the final whistle.
⏸️ HALF TIME, THEN SWITCH ENDS
When a match has a time limit, the clock stops at the half for a 5-second half-time break: a whistle blows, the “Half time / Teams switch ends” banner goes up, no goal can count and everyone can roam. Then the teams switch ends, and the team that didn't kick off the match starts the second half. In a match with a Head Coach, the formation moves with the team to its new end.
🧠 SMARTER BOTS IN A CROWD
In crowded games, all the way up to 11v11, bots no longer shove each other. They give way to teammates, mark opponents from a distance instead of leaning on them, and keep out of their own keeper's space. In both pauses, bots stop playing and walk back to their places.
✨ ALSO NEW
- During the break, the corner of the scoreboard reads “Half time”, then “2nd half”.
- The main menu tag now reads “v1.4.0 — Matchday Update”.
🔧 FIXES
- Fixed two rare cases where the ball could get stuck by the touchline with bots pressed against it.
- Letter spacing: upper-case titles and body text now keep their proper spacing in all seven languages (no more letters running into each other, as in “VERSUS”).
- The key hints at the bottom of the menus no longer overlap or wrap onto a second line, in any language.
📣 GOOD TO KNOW
Everyone in a match needs the Matchday Update: v1.3 and v1.4 can't play together. A player on a different version isn't let in and sees a version message instead. Steam normally updates the game for you automatically.
See you on the pitch — celebrate every goal! 🔥
