The first major milestone I set for myself, just hit! And that was to get 10 reviews so that sepapu gets a score! As it turns out, they are all saying nice (and constructive) things!
After sepapu launched, it was like a burden of my shoulders. This project had been on my mind for a significant time, and I am overjoyed that is is available to players and that people I have never met have played it to conclusion and had a good time!
Thank you!
The next (and final) plan for sepapu, is to add workshop support, and address some issues that have come to my attention, mainly regarding framerate. Both july and august I decided to take a break from the project though, simply because I needed to step back a bit! Have some rest, start looking at the next project, be with friends, day job, etc.
But september will be a sepapu month, and the goal as stated will be to release an update that includes workshop support and some fixes/features.
In list format, these things are planned:
Steam Workshop Support for creating and sharing custom puzzles
Fix animation logic to work more consistently across different frame rates
Fix for touchscreen not behaving correctly
A way to exit the game without using alt-f4 (I guess only I like to close things this way haha..)
Steam Controller Support
I hope I will be able to release this update at the end of september, if all goes well. But life is always uncertain!
Somewhat surprisingly, there have been no game breaking bugs or crashes reported, that I am aware of at least, but granted, I also don't have automatic crash reporting in my engine, so maybe I will get that with Steam support also.
And lastly, once this update is out, I am gonna fully consider this game done. That means I will move on to the next project for real! If you are interested in keeping up with that, I hang out in this Discord server: https://discord.gg/ESqhuMPyCq
Thank you again, so much. And I hope that this game will continue to reach new people over time. And I am hopeful for the future in general!
