Hello, survivors!

Good news and bad news this week. The good news: there's a ton of new stuff. The bad news: it's all really hard content and is definitely going to kill you.

Good luck surviving!

New Elite Types

Added three new kinds of Elite enemies that can spawn (elites are upgraded versions of enemies, so any enemy can spawn with these modifiers):

• Hoarder — collects nearby unclaimed XP gems, gaining +1% size and +1% max HP per gem. All swallowed XP explodes out on death.

• Brood — bursts into 8 non-elite copies of itself on death

• Herald — every 6 seconds, a shockwave grants all nearby enemies a temporary boost of move speed

These three join our existing 4 elite modifiers; here's a recap of those:

• Volatile — explodes on death

• Warded — heavy resistance to all but one element

• Scorched — leaves a trail of burning fire in its wake

• Standard-Bearer — up to 8 enemies can be tethered to it, each gaining +50% move speed and +50% damage as they stay nearby

New Level: Ancient Summit

• Trespass on the council of the gods at the top of the world, where every pantheon has gathered at once, and every single enemy that spawns is an elite.

• The Archon of Judgment descends at 8 minutes and the Hand of God at 15.

• Unlocked by defeating 13 different bosses in other levels.

New Level: Elite Catacombs

• Drop even deeper below the Catacombs where the pitch dark is filled to the brim with nothing but elite enemies.

• The Pale Sovereign wakes at 8 minutes and Ossuar at 15.

• Unlocked by defeating 666 elite enemies in other levels.

New Level: Hall of Heroes

• Face the ghosts of your past in this deep catacombs level full of Fallen Survivors using all of the weapons you've previously found or died with.

• Great for slaughtering your friends with your overpowered weapons in co-op!

• The Fallen Champion boss spawns at 30 minutes, which uses the entire loadout from your previous run.

• Unlocked by finding the Cenotaph entrance in the Elite Catacombs level.

Daily Challenge - Holidays

• Added 68 new themed Daily Challenges throughout the year to appear on holidays around the world.

• It's a long list so it's at the bottom of the changelog, but scroll down to see the full list of which holidays will be appearing in-game as themed daily challenges!

New Shrine: Shrine of Powers

• This legendary-rarity shrine can appear in any level and grants you a choice among 3 random powerful survivor abilities.

• Guaranteed to spawn at the start of the new Ancient Summit level so you can start your run off with an extra ability. Good luck!

Shrine Changes

• Added custom sprites for each shrine, instead of reusing the same 2-3 sprites for all of them.

Enemy Changes

• Increased the HP multiplier on elites by 50%.

• Elites now drop 300% more XP when killed.

• Reduced Thornbloom projectile size and projectile speed by 50%.

• Halo Hounds now periodically pause and then charge at you, rather than chasing at a consistent speed.

Bugfixes

• Fixed a bug that prevented the Codex from opening.

• Fixed a bug that showed an old version of the Recent Runs page when opened.

• Fixed text in German, French, Italian, Russian, Japanese, Korean, Dutch, Polish, Portuguese, Turkish, Ukrainian, Vietnamese, Indonesian and Spanish that appeared cut off mid-sentence with a stray quote mark.

• Fixed hitboxes that were slightly too large on Lab Subjects, Mutagen Clouds, Coil Sentries, and Containment Drones.

• Fixed a bug where Fallen Survivors and Fellow Survivors rolled their wielded weapons independently in co-op, causing visual/hit desync (they'll now have one weapon for all players).

• Fixed two Standard-Bearer elites buffing the same enemy leaving it permanently empowered after both were killed.

• Fixed item names wrapping mid-word in some merchant UIs.
