Hello Survivors of the Dark Arena!
While we’re pushing toward the official release, we’ve just finalized a massive update for the internal build of Gloomvex. We wanted to give you a look behind the curtain at what’s changed as we move from our foundations to the future of the game.
🛡️ The New Upgrade System: Microchip Modules
We’ve completely redesigned our upgrades to fit the minimalist, dark aesthetic of the Gloomvex arena. Instead of simple icons, you’ll now find detailed High-Tech Microchips.

Each quality tier now features its own glowing color scheme, making your power-ups feel truly impactful as you scale your build:

[*] Core Stats (HP, DMG, SPD): Now glow with vibrant greens, blues, or aggressive oranges.

[*] Special Chips: Legendary drops like "+WPN" or "REVIVE" have received a prestigious golden aura.

[*] Optimization: We’ve significantly stabilized the frame rate. Even during high enemy density situations, combat readability remains clean and fluid.
📢 What’s Next?
We are steadily approaching the finish line. Our focus is currently shifting toward expanding the roster of characters like Ironclad, Vortex, and Stormrage and refining the weapon fusion system to give you even more tactical depth.

Please add Gloomvex to your Wishlist! It is the single best way to help me as an indie developer gain visibility on Steam and ensures you don't miss the launch.
