Thanks to everyone who has been giving feedback and reporting bugs. I've got a lot of reports and improvement suggestions via the in-game reporting tool, forum and Discord and just wanted to say that I do go through each of those and write down the ideas, feedback and bugs encountered.
There has been huge amounts of feedback on various things and I'm just a single person managing all that while doing everything else so getting back to you or addressing the issues can take some time. Thanks for your patience!
I wanted to add a bit more improvements to the inventory than what this update brings, among other improvements...but I had to get this out sooner as I had to add the critical bug fix to prevent building over the world height limit, which would ruin your game by destroying the incorrectly placed buildings.
If you were affected by this bug (luckily I think there was only 1 person, reaching for the clouds) the save games load just fine and the buildings are present, but you are prevented from building above the limit.
The main improvement by the inventory change is that there are no more fixed amount of slots anymore limiting how many types you can carry. You can carry any number of different item types and only the total number of items in inventory is capped.
Auto-pickup and emptying to nearby storages based on configurable requests will be on the next update.
FluxWerks v0.5.17 - 27-09-2026

Improvements
- Thunder - Thunder claps are quieter.
- Manual Research - The manual research line in the crafting column no longer shows once every Basic Science Pack tech is researched.
Bug Fixes

- Fixed the camera and the Esc key not responding properly after a Quick Load.
- Fixed mined blocks and refunded crafting materials vanishing when your inventory was full.
- Fixed fluids in your inventory losing their temperature.
- Fixed the Demolish tool removing whatever sat behind the thing you clicked.
- Fixed a warning sound playing when only part of the items you moved fit.
