FluxWerks v0.5.4 - 02-09-2026
New Features
- Named Worlds - New worlds get a name, and the load screen now groups every save under its world, with autosaves kept per world. Older saves keep working and ask for a name the next time you save.
- Continue - The main menu now has a Continue button that loads your most recent save.
- Steam Cloud - Save files and blueprints now sync through Steam Cloud across your machines.
- Achievements - Added twelve Steam achievements.
- Cancel Plans - The area select box can now cancel every ticked plan inside it, planned terrain work included.
- Clear Work - The area select box can now cancel every nanobot work order inside it, like B hotkey but only inside the area box.
- Farm Areas Overlay - A new overlay button outlines the working area of every Planter and Harvester at once. Gold outlines are Harvester zones, green are Planter zones.
- Belt Flip - Press F over a belt or elevator while building belts, or use the Flip button in its inspector, to reverse the flow. Flip line in the inspector reverses everything connected at once.
Improvements
- Deleted Saves - Deleting a save or world now moves it to a trash shown in the load screen. Disk space frees when you empty it.
- Area Select Panel - Reorganized into labeled sections, the tick boxes, the actions that follow them, and whole area actions.
- Pending Upgrades - Buildings and belts queued for an upgrade now show a soft amber outline on the ground instead of the arrow icon.
- Upgrade Orders - The area select box and the belt inspector can now cancel queued upgrades.
- Xenobloom Withering - A bloom that produces no new growth for 10 minutes dies out on its own.
- Selected Building Area - Selecting a Planter, Harvester, Air Scrubber or Maintenance Depot now outlines its working area, the same way placing one does.
- Overlay Combinations - Area overlays no longer switch each other off. Only the three terrain tints are still one at a time.
- Pollution Overlay - Now also outlines the area each Air Scrubber draws from.
- Placement Assist - Placing an area building (Air Scrubber for example) now outlines the existing ones of the same type, so you can avoid overlapping.
- Blueprint Placement - While placing a copy or blueprint, F flips it left to right as you see it and T rotates the other way.
- Belt Preview - Belts being placed, copied or pasted now show the moving tread of a planned belt instead of a plain strip.
- Belt and Pipe Inspectors - Actions are now grouped as this segment or the whole connected line: take, flip, upgrade and demolish for belts, flush and demolish for pipes.
- Button Icons - Added new icons to replace some placeholders.
