One week after release, the first gameplay update for Hellbridge is here.
This update is much more than a bug-fix patch. We spent the first week playing, testing, balancing and watching how the game actually feels — and we found a lot of places where Hellbridge could be more dynamic, dangerous and unpredictable.
So we pushed it further.
⚔️ COMBAT & BALANCE
Added new enemy abilities and behaviors.
Significantly increased the variety and frequency of Abyss Army formations.
Some waves have been accelerated.
Reduced downtime between waves to make the overall combat flow more dynamic.
Rebalanced enemy health scaling across later waves.
Added new interactions and improvements for Keykeeper bosses.
Fixed enemies getting stuck around the bridge and abyss edge.
🌑 NEW EVENTS
Darkness — Retreat. A new special wave event that changes how you approach the battlefield and forces you to react differently.
Hellstorm. A new event that adds another layer of danger while you're already fighting for survival.
🧙 SKILLS & PROGRESSION
Reworked Meditation. Passive health regeneration now requires the player to be completely inactive.
Rebalanced regeneration-related meta upgrades.
Improved several skill interactions and behaviors.
Improved Selena's combat behavior and interactions.
👹 BOSSES & KEYKEEPERS
Added additional visual feedback to Keykeeper bosses and their attacks.
Fixed several interactions between boss attacks and player abilities.
Fixed situations where special boss attacks could incorrectly bypass certain defensive effects.
🛠️ FIXES & STABILITY
Fixed multiple bugs that could cause crashes.
Fixed rare softlock situations during events and transitions.
Fixed issues with saving and restoring special events.
Fixed various problems occurring during room transitions.
Improved overall game stability.
And this is only the beginning.
The first week after release gave us a lot of useful insight into how Hellbridge actually feels to play — and we're going to keep using that information to make the game better.
Thank you to everyone playing, leaving reviews, reporting bugs and sharing your experiences.
The Abyss is getting deeper.
