🪟 Detach Widgets to Desktop (NEW)
You asked to move widgets out of the bar — now you can.
- Right-click any widget → "Detach to desktop" to pop it out as a floating, draggable, resizable card.
- All 10 widgets have a rich full-size layout when detached (Notes get a full editor + list, Pomodoro a big ring, Media a large cover art, and so on).
- Cards remember their position and size.
✅ Recurring To-Do Tasks (NEW)
- To-do items can now repeat — daily, weekly, or monthly.
- Pick exactly which days: specific weekdays (e.g. Mon/Wed/Fri) or a specific day of the month.
- Set an end condition (forever, or after N times) — tasks auto-appear on their scheduled day.
- Full repeat editor in both the compact bar (🔁 icon) and the detached card.
🔽 System Tray + Exit
- DockBar now has a system tray icon. Right-click for Show / Settings / Exit — no more closing it from the Steam client. Left-click brings the bar up.
⚡ Auto-hide "Instant" Mode
- Auto-hide delay can now go all the way down to Instant — the bar hides the moment your cursor leaves it.
- With auto-hide on, the bar now also starts hidden on launch.
🖥️ High-DPI / Multi-Monitor Overhaul
- UI Scale now goes up to 150% for better readability on 2K/4K displays.
- Fixed the bar not fitting when moved between monitors of different sizes/resolutions — it now auto-adjusts to whichever monitor it's on.
- Fixed Windows text-scaling above 135% breaking the calendar (numbers turning into "0 0 1 1").
- Fixed pixel and black-gap artifacts on scale change and monitor switch.
🎨 Custom Accent & Widget Colors
- Every color picker now has a full color wheel — pick any color, not just presets (accent, equalizer, to-do projects, countdowns).
📊 Equalizer Frequency Mode
- New Frequency mode toggle in Equalizer settings — a bass/mid/treble-weighted visualization.
- Note: this is a frequency-weighted visual style, not a full FFT spectrum analyzer — that's next on the list.
💹 Finance Fix
- Fixed crypto prices not refreshing for some users (while forex kept working). DockBar now falls back to a second data source when the primary one is unreachable in your region.
🐛 Stability
- Detached widgets no longer freeze (Equalizer / System Monitor).
- Various multi-monitor, DPI, and rendering fixes.
ℹ️ Good to know: DockBar already runs without Steam
Some of you asked for a "standalone mode" — running without the Steam client open, like Wallpaper Engine. Good news: DockBar already works this way. It has no Steam runtime dependency; once installed you can keep it running with Steam fully closed. Steam is just the store and updater.
