Auto-mine, Blessings past their max, fewer and bigger buttons, less text, and fixes for wrong info
⛏️ Auto-mine
- ⛏️ Auto-mine. A button under the ore vein (or the O key, rebindable in Settings > Keybindings) mines the vein for you 4 times a second. It is off by default and saved with each save. Holding the mouse on the vein mines at the same speed and is still the only way to get the +35% Dwarf Miner bonus. Auto-mine can't be used in the Hands Off challenge and pauses during raids.
- 🖱️ Click cap. Clicking the vein by hand is now capped at 20 clicks a second. Normal fast clicking is not affected.
- 🌟 Ascension goal. The goal strip under Dig Deeper now points at Ascension when it is available and your New Digs have stopped getting deeper than your best depth.
✨ Blessings
- ✨ Past the max level. Blessings no longer stop at their max level. Past it you can keep buying levels with Ancestral Knowledge, and each extra level adds a little less than the one before (the first adds almost a full level, by +30 it adds half). The price keeps rising by 1 per level as before. The Blessings screen shows what the next extra level gives.
- Nothing changes for levels you own. Every level up to the old max costs and gives exactly what it did. Head Start, Swift Scouts and Cave Breaker still stop at their max level.
- Why. Once every Blessing was maxed (353 Ancestral Knowledge in total), later New Digs paid AK that had no use, and endless runs stalled in the low 40s. In our long test runs, active play now keeps finding new depths past 45.
🔊 Sound
- ⛏️ New vein click sound. Clicking the ore vein now sounds like a steel pickaxe striking rock: a short, bright ping with a little stone crack underneath. Each click still varies slightly, so fast clicking doesn't sound mechanical. The Mining hit volume slider in Settings > Audio works the same as before.
🧭 Fewer, bigger buttons
- ⚙️ Settings button on the HUD. The top-left bar now has a Settings button right next to the Guild Hall, so you no longer have to open the Guild Hall to reach it. The Guild Hall's last section is now called "Records" and holds Achievements, Records and the Knowledge Base.
- ➕ Mine Rooms. Each room now has one "-" and one "+" instead of six buttons. They follow the x1 / x10 / Max toggle on the Mine Rooms header (or the X key): x10 moves ten workers, Max fills the room (up to its limit or your idle workers) or empties it.
- ↕️ Reorder rooms. The small move arrows are gone from the room cards. Use "Reorder rooms" at the bottom of the list to show bigger arrows, then "Done".
- 🔘 Bigger controls. The Open button on rooms, the x1 / x10 / Max toggle, the hide-buttons toggle, and the Automation priority arrows, cap - / + and profile buttons are all bigger and easier to click.
- 🔄 Resource Converter. Each conversion has one batch-size dropdown and a Convert button instead of seven small batch buttons.
- 🤖 Automation. Each helper's next upgrade is named once, on the "Next upgrade" line. Locked upgrades no longer repeat it; hover a locked upgrade to see the challenge and depth.
🧹 Less on screen
- 📜 Early Access. The Early Access line no longer runs across the top of the game screen, and the Early Access note now opens once instead of on every launch. Click the Early Access line on the title screen, or "About Early Access" in Settings > Gameplay, to read it again.
- 💬 Messages. At most 3 pop-up messages show at once. Others wait their turn, and a message that repeats shows "x2" instead of stacking. Everything is still in the log.
- 🧭 Expeditions. The "Expedition Returned!" window is now off by default. A returning expedition shows a short message, a log line and the glowing Expeditions button. To get the window back, turn off "Suppress Collection Popups" on the Expedition Board or in Settings.
- 📰 Update notes. After an update, a short card lists what changed, and it now shows only the latest update. It has a "Don't show update notes" box, and Settings > Gameplay has a matching "Show update notes" switch.
- ✂️ Shorter text. Tutorial steps, unlock explanations, hints and popups are shorter in all languages. Settings > Gameplay toggles explain themselves in their tooltip. The depth panel shows the descent cost once (hover Dig Deeper for the full cost; the line under the button says what is still missing). The Next Dig screen explains omens on your first two New Digs only and shows each challenge on one line. The Challenges screen has one intro line instead of two.
- 🏷️ New Dig everywhere. "Prestige" is now called New Dig everywhere: the screen title, the HUD button, the title-screen save slots, stats and help.
🔧 Fixes
- New Dig confirmation. It now lists what really resets: Runestones, Runic Foci and trade agreements are cleared by a New Dig. Restore Last Loadout on the Runestones and Runic Foci screens buys your last layout back. The Ascension confirmation now lists Rune Shards and medals as kept.
- Wrong numbers in tooltips. The Smelter makes 0.08 Mithril per worker (not 0.04), and the Worker Barracks takes up to 5 workers (not 20). Room tooltips now read their numbers straight from the game, so they stay correct.
- Also corrected: Trade Compass (+50% ore), Expedition Map (expeditions 25% faster), Stoneshaper (+100% warrior DPS), Double Blessings (+100% per level), raid frequency wording for The Dark Hungers and Dragon's Hoard, and the Trade Post help (mercenaries last 3 minutes, nations give +10% to +15% per tier).
🌍 Localization
- All new and changed text is translated into all 9 languages.
