Hello everyone,

We have just rolled out update v0.8.39 and Preseason 4 has begun! This patch brings major skill reworks for 6 characters, balance tuning, and a ton of visual and quality-of-life improvements. Leaderboards have been reset — climb the ranks with the new skills! Here are the details:

[Skills & Balance]
* Paladin: New skill — Mjolnir Throw & Recall. Throw your hammer through enemies, it sticks in the ground zapping nearby foes, then recall it for massive damage and HP recovery
* Necromancer: Grasp of Death reworked — poison explosions now spread to nearby enemies and trigger even when the mark expires, not just on kill. Cooldown decreases the more empowered kills you land
* Bard: New skill — Rhythm Roulette. An interactive rhythm mini-game where you time your inputs across 3 rounds for up to +150% damage. Miss and you get a penalty instead
* Sharpshooter: New skill — Kaleidoscope. For 6 seconds, all your projectiles bounce off screen edges and split into copies
* Death Knight: Death Mark reworked — marks now explode and spread to nearby enemies when they expire, with full 3-second refresh. Bosses and elites trigger 3x stronger explosions
* Blade Dancer: Blade Dance reworked — damage now expands outward in sequential ring waves instead of hitting everything at once, with more waves as your combo stacks grow
* All 7 offensive skills now scale damage with character level
* Adventurer Lucky Explosion: no more damage cap, gold converts 1:1 to damage, costs 10% gold
* Ancient Warrior: luck growth reduced from 1% to 0.5% per level
* Berserker: frenzy now drains max HP instead of current HP — riskier but more strategic
* Precise Ledger nerfed: all stats 20%/6s → 10%/4s
* Deck of Fate: stats now stack permanently instead of rotating (lower per-tick, but grows over time)

[Visuals & Sound]
* Bullet projectiles are now larger and more visible (Sniper, Shotgun, Machine Gun)
* Projectiles disappear more cleanly with a shorter fade
* Elite and boss monsters now show HP bars (hidden at full HP)
* Enemy death fragments now fly in the direction they were hit from, and keep their size as they fade
* Camera zoomed in 25% for better visibility and more intense combat feel
* Deck of Fate now shows a card spin animation with sound when stats change
* Blade Dancer slashes now glow with color-tinted effects
* Boss spawn and boss death now have their own dedicated sound effects
* Charge-type skills now show a charge timer on their icon (Mage, Sharpshooter, Orc Shaman, Ancient Warrior)
* Hovering over your skill icon now shows detailed skill info (cooldown, damage, range, etc.)
* Skill descriptions now highlight numbers in gold and show exact values instead of vague wording
* Chest skip animation is now smoother
* Co-op mode: ESC pause menu is now available
* Game-over build panel expanded to 12 columns
* Removed Statistics page (redundant with leaderboard)

[Bug Fixes]
* Fixed area effect opacity setting not applying to poison/ice zones, explosions, and chain lightning
* Fixed damage numbers showing random deviation instead of exact values
* Improved enemy pathfinding — enemies now move in smoother curves and no longer take unnecessary detours around obstacles

Thank you for playing!
