First and foremost, we would like to express our enormous gratitude to everyone who decided to tell their audience about The TRAM during the Open Alpha Test. For indie projects, it is incredibly important that players discover them and add these games to their Steam wishlists, as this greatly improves the chances of their continued development succeeding.
After the Open Alpha Test ended, we received messages from people who wanted to tell their audience about The TRAM but did not manage to participate in the public test. We have therefore decided to open access to the alpha version for influencers: you will be able to make videos about the game, stream it for your audience, or simply enjoy driving the tram if you feel like it :)
Please note: this is the exact same version of the game that was available during the Open Alpha Test, with all the same bugs, issues, and unfinished features. It is very important that viewers clearly understand that there is still a great deal of work ahead of us and that the current version is primarily intended to showcase the game’s atmosphere and tram-driving physics.
We are creating The TRAM as a realistic tram simulator designed to give players an authentic experience of operating a heavy vehicle. Careless handling can damage the tram or even derail it, but the goal of the game will be to make sure that does not happen :)
How can I access the alpha version?
There are two ways to do this, but in either case you will need to join our Discord server:
Go to the #influencers-channels channel and post links to your channels there;
Email us links to your channels along with your Discord username at: [email protected]
We will then assign you the Influencer role and send you a Steam key via DM (please note that this may take some time).
Will the influencer version be updated?
For now, we are not planning to update this version. However, once you receive the Influencer role, you will gain access to a dedicated announcements channel. Whenever we are ready to share new information that can be published for your audience, you will be among the first to know.
Let’s keep in touch! :)
What can I do with the influencer version?
You are welcome to create any kind of content with it for your channels. However, it is important that your audience clearly understands that this is an early alpha version of the game demonstrating only a few basic mechanics.
Why are there sacks instead of passengers?
This is a reference to real life: new vehicles are commonly tested and run in using sacks filled with sand. Large sacks can weigh up to 70 kg, so a tram loaded with them will feel a little heavier :) Be especially careful when braking in winter!
So how do I open the door manually?
The important secret is to slowly pull the door to the right :) Hold down the left mouse button and slowly drag to the right — the door will open. We will, of course, rework this mechanic.
