Hey everyone,
Thanks to all of you who sent in crash reports, shared feedback, or let us know when something wasn't working properly!
We've pushed a couple of small demo updates. Here are the notes for the latest fixes and improvements!
Demo Update Notes
Added automatic first-run graphics defaults to help lower-end systems choose safer settings.
Added a Reduced Texture Quality graphics option, which can lower memory usage by around 40% and should help the demo run better on integrated GPUs and lower-end systems.
Fixed a Steam callback issue that could sometimes cause a crash after suspending/resuming the game or losing connection.
Fixed a controller-related crash that could happen during gamepad initialization.
Improved crash reporting with clearer messages for some known startup and hardware-related issues.
Fixed an issue where pressing a controller button during the intro scene could cause the player to exit the boat.
Meritites now sells bricks after you bring her garlic, so you can still buy more if you use the bricks she gives you on other repairs.
Updated some tooltips for where resources can be found and updated some task instructions to help make objectives clearer.
Improved map markers so it is clearer when a marker is pinned or unpinned.
Made sure some trees start with fruit, so the first fruit-gathering pursuit is easier to complete.
Added more Reciprocity rewards for completing NPC tasks.
Fixed an issue where the camera could collide with the cat, causing weird zooms when the cat walked in front of it.
Thanks again for playing, wishlisting, reviewing, and reporting issues!
