Hey Pilots!
Mikael here 👋
First of all, thank you for playing Velocide Overdrive and for all the feedback since launch. I've been reading your reports and messages, and this first hotfix focuses on fixing a few issues that slipped through.
You're in good hands — I'm actively working on improvements and fixes to make the game as smooth as possible.
Here’s what’s been fixed in Hotfix 1.0.1:
Gameplay
Fixed an issue where Overcharge lightning would repeatedly strike invincible players every frame, causing heavy visual and audio spam (notably with Invincibility + Overcharge and Bulldozer + Overcharge).
UI
Fixed the scoreboard not clearing old player rows when reducing the number of players, which caused overlapping text.
Player names are now limited to 15 characters to prevent overflow in the scoreboard.
Fixed the mouse cursor remaining visible during rounds. It is now hidden when a round starts and restored at the end.
Controls
Fixed new players not defaulting correctly to Arrow Left / Arrow Right key bindings.
Fixed an issue where Remote Play Together guests couldn't use controllers when playing remotely.
Thanks again for all the support and feedback.
More improvements and updates are coming soon 🚀
