Full Controller Support & Native UI
Plug & Play Handheld Controls: Chronos Trap in Time was designed with controller-first gameplay in mind. The default Steam Deck controls work seamlessly right away, offering fluid, natural-feeling movement and combat.
On-Screen Button Prompts: The interface dynamically displays native input icons that match the Steam Deck's layout, ensuring you always know which button to press without guessing.
Handheld Resolution: The display scales perfectly to the Steam Deck’s native aspect ratio and resolution without any awkward black bars or text scaling issues.
Smooth Performance & Optimized Settings
We’ve put significant effort into ensuring stable framerates and a smooth frame-time graph without annoying stutters:
Recommended Out-of-the-Box Experience:
Graphics: Medium Preset
Upscaling: TSR Upscaling set to Performance
Target FPS: 50 – 60 FPS with rock-solid consistency and an extremely flat FPS graph.
Maximized Framerate Option (Locked 60 FPS):
If you prefer a locked 60 FPS at all times, simply lower the graphics preset to Low.
Native Linux Build – No Proton Required
Zero Translation Overhead: Chronos Trap in Time runs on a Native Linux build.
Flawless Technical Stability: Because it runs natively on SteamOS, there is no need for Proton compatibility layers, completely eliminating common translation bugs, launcher errors, or unexpected crashes.
