Today officially marks the end of Null Hørizøn's launch week,
and I am absolutely blown away by the support.
To everyone who picked up the game, left a review, or jumped into the discussions or discord to share your feedback—thank you. You've made this launch an incredible milestone for me as a solo developer.
We didn't just launch and walk away, either. In the last seven days alone, I pushed 11 updates based directly on your feedback. We squashed bugs with rapid hotfixes, added some community requested features and dropped Update 0.6.5, which introduced a brand-new starter ship, enhanced visuals, and upgraded sound design.
But we are just getting started. Here is a look at what is actively on the workbench for Update 0.6.7:
Pilot Progression (Levels & Stats): I am implementing a full pilot naming, experience, and leveling system. You will have 6 different core stats to invest skill points into as you grow your character.
Overhauled Signal Events: Signal events are getting much more dynamic. They will soon utilize Skill Checks that are directly influenced by your new Pilot Stat system.
Ship Customization: I am currently standardizing all the base ship sprites to a purple metal/green light combination. Why? Because it allows me to use dynamic hue shifting in the engine! You will soon be able to use sliders or pre-selected paint jobs to customize your metal colors, lighting colors, and even add Dash Ornaments.
The "Module" Overhaul: The current passive and ship upgrade system is being completely reworked. Ships will soon have dedicated "Module Slots" (categorized into Combat, Defense, and Utility) similar to your weapon loadouts.
Ship Identities: Different ships will have different slot layouts to fit their class. A Tier 2 Fighter like the Razor might have 2 Combat, 2 Defense, and 1 Utility slot, while a Tier 2 Merchant like the Badger leans into 3 Utility and 2 Defense slots.
Loot & Progression: Modules will feature randomized stat rolls (e.g., a Cargo module might drop with +5 or +13 capacity). You will be able to buy them or loot them from enemies and Signal Events. Utility modules will cover things like Fuel Efficiency or Shielded Cargo for smuggling, while Defense modules will boost Hull, Shields, and Status Resistances.
More TBA: (I have to keep a few surprises in the cargo hold).

I am aiming to have 0.6.7 out by mid to late March.
Though this is subject to change, you can bet that I'll keep you updated! (pun intended)
If you want to report bugs, request features or just chat about the game, please join us in discord!
This launch has been the greatest adventure in my life, and I am so excited to see where we take the game, together.
Keep up the good work, Captains. I'll do my best to follow suit.
