Critical Fix: Player Save Loading
A serialization bug in the settlement system caused all player characters to appear missing on login. The game was offering "New Character" instead of loading existing saves. This has been fixed — all affected player data has been restored and a defensive converter added to prevent this class of issue in the future.
Database Backup & Recovery
The auto-updater now automatically backs up the game database before applying updates. Up to 5 rotating backups are kept so SysOps can roll back if something goes wrong.
New [R] Recovery option in the SysOp Console:
- View current database info (path, size, last modified)
- List available backups with size and date
- Create manual backups on demand
- Restore from any backup with safety confirmation
