Hello everyone!
The Freyline demo has just received a large update with a major overall polish pass and a significant amount of new content.
The last public demo was done when the project was still very early in development. Roughly around the 20% complete mark. Since then, the game has evolved massively, and development is now approximately 55% complete overall.
This update is intended to better reflect the current direction and quality level of the full game.
Highlights
- Added additional cards to the demo
- Large balance pass across many cards
- Added new music tracks
- Most cards are now animated
- Several player portraits are now animated
- Some event scenes now feature animation
- Major overall visual overhaul and polish pass
New "Spicy Battle" System Preview
This update also includes the first public preview of the new "Spicy battle" system.
The system is still actively in development, but the demo now contains:
- 3 preview "Spicy cards"
- new encounter flow mechanics
- expanded combat interactions
This system is a major part of the full game's design and will continue to evolve throughout development.
Development Progress
Freyline has grown substantially since the original demo release:
- expanded combat systems
- large visual improvements
- more content
- more music
- improved animation
- improved overall combat feel and readability
There is still a lot more coming, but this update represents a huge leap forward compared to the original demo version.
Thank you to everyone who has tried the demo, left feedback, wishlisted the game, or followed development so far. It genuinely helps a lot.
More updates coming soon.
