Hi everyone,
Today Tied to the Beat leaves Early Access. Version 1.0 is live on Windows, macOS, Linux and Steam Deck, and it is 30% off for the next two weeks.
Ten weeks ago I launched a game where your music is your weapon: load a song, and its lyrics fly across the arena to the beat, with every word changing the fight. Since then you played it, broke it, reported it and reviewed it. 1.0 is the version you helped finish.

What changed since PRE 1.0
After the PRE 1.0 update I did not add new features. I spent these weeks making sure everything that is already in the game works well, everywhere.
- Colours tuned across the game. Effects, worlds and menus were adjusted so everything reads clearly and fits the same neon palette.
- Every song checked again. I went through the lyrics of all 52 songs line by line, so words land on the beat and trigger the right effect.
- Performance checked again. Frame rate was measured on a strong PC and on a Mac mini M1 before this release, in the busiest late-game moments.
- Every screen reviewed. Menus, sub-menus, pop-ups and the HUD were audited one by one, so nothing is cut off, overlapped or hard to read.
- Your own songs, sorted. Importing several songs at once keeps every one of them, and older profiles and lyric files repair themselves when you start the game.
- Better translations in all 31 languages.
A reminder of what PRE 1.0 brought
1,122 lyric effects, made again from zero. Every word looks like what it means: FIRE burns, RAIN pours. One effect at a time, so the arena stays spectacular without turning into noise. Colour-blind friendly palette and a new icon for every word in the glossary.

Four worlds, rebuilt. Evergreen Forest, Neon Desert, Snowy Aurora and Volcano, each with its own personality. Trees, rocks and houses block the way and turn see-through when you walk behind them.
Rivers, bridges and whirlpools. Real river networks with currents, bridges where roads cross, and the Whirlpool Warden guarding the places where rivers meet.

Your character, on fire. Status effects live on your character, one at a time and easy to read in the chaos, with damage flashes you can actually see.
Performance. 144 fps on a strong PC, 60 fps on a Mac mini M1, no stutters in late game and no hitches while exploring.
Music. 52 songs in the Videoclub, and one simple way to import your own, with your lyrics file if you already have one.
Launch week live
For the whole launch week you can watch the game being played live right here on the store page.
Thank you
To everyone who played during Early Access, sent bug reports and wrote reviews: thank you. If something feels slow or looks wrong in 1.0, tell me in the Steam discussions. I read every thread.
Your music. Your weapon.
