Hello Hackers, I can finally announce the news— SYNTAX: OVERLOAD will officially enter Steam Early Access on September 8th!
After a long period of development and continuous polishing, I am ready to put this game into your hands.
What kind of game is this? To sum it up in one sentence: You have to "code" your combat. Unlike typical card games where you "play a hand of cards," here, you arrange your items into an execution sequence that runs sequentially from left to right—just like writing a piece of code, and then watching it run to fight against invading viruses and enemies. The order of arrangement, the position of each slot, and the synergies between them are all part of your strategy. This is a Roguelite for programming and hackers.
The Early Access version already includes:
The complete "Execution Sequence" core combat mechanics.
40+ types of enemies, 90 item cards, 40+ relics, and 5 maps.
Multiple unlockable classes and software cores, each offering a different starting playstyle.
An Endless Mode to push your limits, alongside local leaderboards.
Sequence Compilation System—encapsulate your signature combos into a custom script card.
Full English localization (along with Traditional/Simplified Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and Russian).
This is a content-rich version offering dozens of hours of complete gameplay, not just a demo slice.
Why Early Access? As a solo developer, I know deeply what kind of absurd multiplier effects can be woven together by over 130 pieces of equipment. The true depth of this mechanic needs real players to uncover together. During the crucial stage of polishing stat balance and expanding variables, I want to move forward alongside the community to refine this 1-bit cyberpunk universe to its most perfect state.
Players who support us early on will get the game at a discounted price and will receive all updates throughout the development process for free.
Add SYNTAX: OVERLOAD to your Wishlist now and don't miss the launch on September 8th! I'll be waiting for you on the other side of the sequence.
Thank you to all the players who have been following this game. See you in the terminal on September 8th! —— [Tallen games]
