Optimized the sorting results of handwritten edicts.
Updated Encyclopedia content related to Imperial Guards and Tingzhang (Imperial Beating).
Added the previous day's Tingzhang execution records to the Daily Gazette (DiBao).
Characters will now recall the memory of being subjected to Tingzhang when handling official business.
Optimized the department sorting logic for handwritten edicts, reducing the occurrence of the "Cannot confirm sorting department" pop-up.
Optimized the Ministry of Personnel's appointment and dismissal logic, improving the accuracy of identifying target characters.
New Feature: Tingzhang (Imperial Beating) You can now order the Attendant Eunuch to execute a Tingzhang on any official currently in the capital.
Reference command for ordering a Tingzhang: "The Supervising Secretary of the Ministry of Personnel, Hu Sheng, has recklessly rejected edicts and disrupted state affairs. Execute a Tingzhang of 300 strokes immediately, and beat him severely (Zhe Shi Da)!"
A Tingzhang command includes the following information:
Reason for the beating: The reason will be conveyed to the victim and remembered by them. If you want the character to remember the reason to influence their future behavior, please specify it when giving the order.
Number of strokes: Can be written in Chinese characters or Arabic numerals.
Hidden rules of Tingzhang: If not specified, it defaults to a "Normal Beating" (普通打). You can specify "Beat with intent" (用心打 - beat to death) or "Beat severely" (着实打 - beat to cripple).
Beat with intent (用心打): The character will be beaten to death on the spot, leaving their position vacant.
Beat severely (着实打): The character will be forced to take a leave of absence for several days to recover and cannot work.
Normal Beating (普通打): Does not affect the character's ability to work after the punishment.
The execution site for Tingzhang is on the main road outside the Meridian Gate (Wu Men). The process is as follows:
Step 1: The Emperor issues the Tingzhang order to the Attendant Eunuch.
Step 2: The Attendant Eunuch summons a Scribe Attendant to relay the order.
Step 3: The Scribe Attendant relays the order back to the Directorate of Ceremonial (Si Li Jian).
Step 4: The Directorate of Ceremonial dispatches 1 Brush-holding Eunuch leading 2 Imperial Guards (Da Han Jiang Jun) to arrest the target.
If the target is on duty within the Imperial Palace, the arrest squad will go directly to their current location to apprehend them.
If the target is not on duty within the Imperial Palace, the arrest squad will go to the Upright Gate (Duan Men) to drag them in from outside the palace.
Step 5: The arrest squad drags the target to the Tingzhang execution site at the Meridian Gate.
Step 6: The target is beaten according to the number of strokes ordered by the Emperor.
Step 7: After the execution, the target is handled based on the severity of the beating:
If Beat with intent: The character is beaten to death on the spot. No further processing.
If Beat severely: The arrest squad will drag the target back to the Upright Gate and send them out of the palace. The "Divine Intelligence" (Feng Wen Tian Ji) system will subsequently display their injury and treatment status.
If Normal Beating: Depending on where the target was arrested, the squad will escort them back to their duty location or the Upright Gate.
