Hi everyone!
The Baseball Scouter DEMO will be available starting February 12 at 5:00 PM [GMT+8]. We invite everyone to download it and give it a try!
Regarding the DEMO Release Time
Initially, I planned to have the demo ready before the Steam Next Fest (Feb 24).
My first candidate for the date was the preceding Friday, February 20.
However, I realized that day marks the start of the "Steam Horse Fest." It felt a bit... off to launch a baseball game demo in the middle of a horse event. I spent a long time frowning and brooding over this.
Suddenly, inspiration struck! I pointed my index finger to the sky, a look of pure wisdom shining in my eyes.
"What about the Friday before that (Feb 13)?"
Since there are media preview events happening that week anyway, I figured, "Why not just launch it on February 12?"
And that is the somewhat "hasty" (?) story of how the release date was decided.
Regarding the Full Version Release Date
The current target for the full game release is March 30. This might shift by a few days, but we are looking at late March.
That said, I won't be releasing it during or right before the Steam Spring Sale (starting March 20). Exposure is incredibly difficult for a small game like mine during such a massive sale.
To leave some room for error, it might be pushed to April. Unless something catastrophic happens, the latest the game will launch is mid-April... probably.
That’s all for this development log. I hope this gives you a better idea of what's happening behind the scenes!
Thanks for reading!
