Hello!
This game is currently in development, and this post is to keep interested players updated on our progress!
Font Update
Based on feedback from the store page and fellow developers that the previous font was too thin, I have made adjustments. Can you notice the difference? (In the image below, the top is the updated version, and the bottom is the previous one.)
Due to the font update, I have also refreshed the store page screenshots and videos. If you notice any issues with the store page in any language, please let me know!
January Development Progress
According to my records, I completed the following this month:
Active/Farm roster system: Allows temporary changes exceeding player limits during transitions.
Match BGM mute button; additional sound effects for the end of a match week.
Tutorial interface (Guide Notes).
Credits interface.
Developed story command features required for the main plot and character arcs.
Writing and editing scripts for the Steam Next Fest demo version.
Most of the main systems are finished, so my focus moving forward will be on script writing and developing specific features required for those scripts.
Steam Next Fest Progress Report
Regarding Steam Next Fest, the first demo build and demo store page have already been submitted for review.
While the story content in this first demo version isn't 100% finished, the core systems and gameplay flow are fully functional. Since the submission went smoothly, I should be able to focus entirely on writing and script-related features through mid-February.
Demo Version Content:
Main story and most content from March 27 (Start) to April 17 (Start of Turn 4).
Although the main story ends there, you can continue playing until the end of the matches for the week of May 1 (Turn 6).
Only 10 unique story-related players are available for scouting.
The number of contract releases is limited.
The biggest remaining task is finishing the script, which is currently a work in progress.
Concerns Regarding the Tutorial
I am a bit worried about the tutorial... Players familiar with baseball games might pick it up quickly (probably?), but for casual players, it might still be a bit confusing.
At this stage, I don't have enough time to implement a full interactive tutorial (currently, there are only text-based "Guide Notes"). I'm also not entirely sure how much guidance this specific system requires.
I'm currently torn between my rational side saying "it needs a better guide" and my gut feeling saying "players will figure it out once they try it." I will re-evaluate this before the demo release.
That concludes this devlog. I hope this information helps you understand the game better!
