Hello everyone! We are Union State Games, a two-person indie studio, and right now we are developing a new horror game, Let Me In.

We strive to create not just a game filled with jump scares, but a captivating story where tension stems from the atmosphere. Fear should be the key element throughout the playthrough.
We drew inspiration from many high-quality, atmospheric projects like MADISON, Visage, and other great horror titles, as well as atmospheric and terrifying movies. We tried to adapt all of this to our own style.
How We Create the Environment

Some environment elements might look familiar to you. Yes, during development, we used some premade assets — like many small indie teams do. But for us, they were never the ultimate goal, just a tool. The most important thing is not an individual model, but how it works within the overall composition. We created the main house, key locations, and many objects ourselves, while picking and refining the rest so that everything looks like a single, believable space.
Searching for Real-Life References

Before starting work on the environment, we studied tons of references, looked through hundreds of photos, and even personally visited several old houses and rural locations. It was important for us to understand how such places look in reality: how materials age, how objects are arranged.
What’s Next?

Right now, we are focused on the final build of the game: refining the creepy plot, tweaking the sound design, and polishing new locations.
If you haven't added Let Me In to your wishlist yet, we would be very grateful if you did! It's the best support for our small team. And don't forget to subscribe to our social media channels, where we share new content.
