PHASE 2 COMPLETE - OUT NOW!

Full controller support, Steam Workshop mods, more cat stuff, expanded automation, movable cash desks, 11 new capsule packs, and much more!

Phase 2 of Gacha Capsule Shop Simulator - Akihabara is officially complete!

Since completing Phase 1, we have continued expanding, improving, and polishing the game with new ways to play, more customization, community modding, additional automation, new capsule collections, management systems, and quality-of-life improvements based on your feedback.

Phase 2 brought three things in particular that many of you have been waiting for:

Full Controller Support. Steam Workshop Mods. More Cat Stuff.

Alongside those, we have added movable cash desks, expanded worker automation, Finance & Stats, new management tools, 11 new capsule packs, and much more.

Some of these features arrived across multiple updates, while others are brand-new in this one.

Here is everything added throughout Phase 2:

CONTROLLER SUPPORT

NEW!

The entire game can now be played with a controller!

• Full controller support for movement, menus, and interactions

• Seamless switching between mouse/keyboard and controller

• Added controller action hints and button glyphs

• Added a Toggle Sprint setting

Whether you are sitting at your desk or running your shop from the couch, Akihabara is now fully controller-ready.

STEAM WORKSHOP & MODS

Steam Workshop is now officially public!

Community-created content has become a major new part of Akihabara, and Phase 2 introduced everything needed to make discovering, installing, and creating mods much easier.

• Mods are now enabled in regular game builds

• Added a Mods section to the main menu

• Browse and install community mods through Steam Workshop

• Create your own mods with the Gacha Capsule Mod Factory

• The Gacha Capsule Mod Factory is available free to everyone who owns the game

You can now add even more strange things to your capsule shop.

We have accepted that we no longer have complete control over what happens in Akihabara.

MORE CAT STUFF!

Possibly the most important part of Phase 2.

Cats have received some much-needed attention.

• Added scratching posts and toys

• Added automatic feeders

• Customize your cats with different skins

• Added cat-related upgrades

Your shop can now become increasingly sophisticated and automated while your cats continue contributing absolutely nothing to the business.

As intended.

MOVABLE CASH DESKS

NEW!

Cash desks are no longer permanently tied to their original positions.

Your checkout area can now be arranged just like the rest of your shop!

• Pick up, place, and rearrange cash desks like other store furniture

• Purchase additional cash desks from the shop

• Create checkout areas that better fit your store layout

• Existing save files automatically migrate to the new cash desk system

More freedom. More cash desks. Probably longer queues.

11 NEW CAPSULE PACKS

Phase 2 massively expanded the capsule collection with 11 brand-new packs! Now a total of 39 Packs!

• Academy All-Stars

• Bigg Balls (NEW!)

• Gacha-Ception (NEW!)

• Haruna Redline (NEW!)

• Maid in Japan (NEW!)

• Meowjis (NEW!)

• Pocket Planets (NEW!)

• Puffy Pups (NEW!)

• Shark Attack (NEW!)

• Smell the Rocks (NEW!)

• Zero Katana (NEW!)

Capsule pack prices and unlock progression have also been rebalanced to accommodate the expanded collection.

Collect them. Display them. Sell them.

Or completely destroy your profit margins trying to collect every figure yourself.

WORKERS & AUTOMATION

Automation continued to be one of the central goals of Phase 2.

As your shop grows, you now have even more ways to automate repetitive work and keep your business running smoothly.

• Added the Auto Capsule Opener

• Added the Capsule Opener worker task

• Workers can now refill Auto Capsule Openers (NEW!)

• Added overtime for employees (NEW!)

• Added secondary jobs for workers

• Improved the worker management UI

• Added new worker alerts and notifications (NEW!)

Yes, employees can work overtime now.

Yes, you still have to pay them.

FINANCE & STATS

The new Finance & Stats system gives you a much clearer picture of how your shop is actually performing and introduces new management responsibilities.

• Added detailed bill information (NEW!)

• Added security and store protection

• Added shop statistics

• Added revenue graphs

You can now carefully analyze your finances before ignoring everything and purchasing another capsule machine.

STORE MANAGEMENT IMPROVEMENTS

Phase 2 also introduced several improvements to everyday shop management.

• Added figure tablet filters

• Added automatic pricing options

• You can now carry multiple GCMs

• Improved package placement

• Improved several existing management interactions and interfaces

Running a massive capsule empire should now involve considerably less fighting with menus.

POLISH & QUALITY OF LIFE

Alongside the larger systems, we continued improving and polishing the game throughout Phase 2.

• Added more customer facial expressions

• Updated achievements

• Fixed loading-screen issues when loading save files

• Expanded localization support

• Fixed mouse movement / wiggle issues

• Improved stability and performance

• Various smaller fixes and quality-of-life improvements throughout the game

• Multiple existing systems adjusted and polished based on player feedback

PHASE 2 IS COMPLETE

Phase 2 has been focused on giving you more ways to play, more ways to customize your shop, and more control over how your business operates.

You can now play the entire game with a controller.

You can download community-created content through Steam Workshop or build your own mods with the Gacha Capsule Mod Factory.

Your cats now have toys, scratching posts, automatic feeders, new looks, and upgrades.

And somewhere between all of that, we also added expanded automation, movable cash desks, Finance & Stats, new management tools, and 11 completely new capsule packs.

Just like Phase 1, Phase 2 was not delivered as one single update.

It was built across multiple releases, with new features launching alongside continuous bug fixes, balancing changes, performance improvements, and adjustments based on how players actually experienced the game.

Steam Workshop also represents a major step forward for Akihabara, giving the community new ways to create and share content alongside the official updates we continue to develop.

This update brings those efforts together and officially marks the completion of the second major stage of development.

WHAT COMES NEXT?

Phase 2 may be complete, but development of Gacha Capsule Shop Simulator - Akihabara definitely isn't.

We are now moving toward the next stage of the roadmap, with even more content, systems, customization, improvements, and probably a few ideas we should not be trusted with.

With Steam Workshop now public, the community can also play a much bigger role in expanding Akihabara alongside us.

More information about the next phase will come when it is ready.

It is the beginning of the next chapter.

Thank you to everyone who has played the game, shared feedback, reported bugs, written reviews, created mods, posted videos, or simply followed our development.
